Aero Cadet LT 1CL Jeston D. Lariosa of Pigcawayan, Cotabato has lived by this belief long before he marched into the Philippine Military Academy.
He grew up in a humble household within a community where conflict was part of daily life. There were moments when he and his family had to evacuate just to stay safe. But instead of letting fear define him, those experiences forged courage, resilience, and a deep longing for peace. At a young age, he understood what it meant to protect — and what it meant to hope.
Inspired by his father’s service in the Philippine Navy Marines, he dreamed of carrying that legacy. He wanted to stand for the weak, defend the vulnerable, and be a source of hope to those who had none. That dream led him to the Academy.
Inside PMA, he faced the toughest trials — physical exhaustion, sleepless nights, and the pressure of shaping himself into a leader worthy of the nation. Yet each hardship strengthened his resolve. Through faith, teamwork, and unwavering determination, he rose stronger every time.
Now serving as Regimental Color Officer, Aero Cadet Lariosa stands not only as a future protector, but as the very symbol of the hope he once searched for as a child.
To those aspiring to take the PMA challenge, he leaves this reminder: “𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘳𝘺.”
