When we first moved into the RV we looked into door locks 🔐 and these had rave reviews!
Well— we finally get to say we concur. This locking system is awesome!!

The tree had to go…thankfully Dad and Tobias knew how to get it done despite the pouring rain. 🌧️

A couple months ago some cows got into our field— so my husband decided to go find where they had gotten in.
He needed a ride so he grabbed on to the side of the SUV *don’t try this at home kids*

As progress continues I thought I’d take a second to welcome new followers 😁 and share a few things about us!
We live in the Chilcotin, in my home community surrounded by wilderness and snow capped peaks.
Our community is offgrid— we rely on solar or generators for power, our main source of heat is wood stoves, and we drink fresh , pure water from the mountain.
🏔️
We dreamed of having our own place to build our dream timber frame house and be as self sufficient as possible. (We still have a long way to go)
We’re working hard to make those dreams reality— even if it takes time.
We are so blessed to have a supportive community, loving family, and amazing friends 🥰

Every year (for at least 30+ years) our small rural school has hosted a party for our community and ended the evening with fireworks provided by the community services.
It’s such a magical way to end an evening full of laughter.

He didn’t choose the board life, the board life chose him. 🪵 🏠

There’s nothing like going home.
Went to town on a supply run yesterday…enjoyed eating out, then the stress of going to 7 different stores getting groceries, building materials, etc. and then we drove the 2 1/2 hours home (1 hr on pavement, 1 1/2 hr on gravel)
There’s nothing like going home.
I’m so over RV living, it’s cramped and I’ve survived it for 4 years. We’re doing our best to build this house and get in it. It’s been stressful.
BUT there’s nothing like going HOME.
To the mountains. The air. The view. The feeling of being small yet comforted in knowing that I’m exactly where our Creator wants me.
I’m tired, a little overwhelmed, yet driven and determined. And I’m HOME.
