Heartwarming story of Youtuber challenged his 69-year-old dad to beat Dark Souls 1 to show his father that video games are not "a waste of time".
'GigaDad' had no prior experience with video games and struggle to even control the character at first.
However, through perseverance and commitment to beating the challenge, GigaDad completed the game after 9 months and an estimated 1,400 deaths!
After beating the game GigaDad felt satisfaction and a sense of achievement. "You're not a consumer, you're a participant".
When asked why he decided to go along with the challenge he said "It's because I love you. I did not really care to learn a bunch about video games, I wanted to learn about you. I accomplished both".
