P&M Records announces a digital reissue of Michael Blake's 2016 album "Red Hook Soul".
Red Hook Soul is about Blake's real life nitty gritty experiences playing in the dive bars of NYC. Producer Andy Taub invited the band into his Brooklyn studio where they recorded covers of Gladys Knight, Otis Redding, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Ray Charles and Lana Del Rey as well as a few original compositions. It's a party album of dance grooves, gorgeous ballads and riveting jams.
