Introducing the Nardal Collection celebrating the women who laid the foundation for the Négritude Movement in France and throughout the Diaspora — Paulette, Jane and Andrée Nardal.
Known for hosting fabulous salons in their Paris pied-à-terre, the Martiniquan sisters (7 in all) created a a haven for Black talent, creativity and intellectualism that drew current and future luminaries such as Aimé Césaire, Léopold Senghor, Marian Anderson and Alain Locke. In addition to their salons, the sisters founded the groundbreaking journal, La R***e du Monde Noir.
Bring home these modern abstract sculptures that are an homage to Négritude, a tribute to this incredible legacy and a celebration of the role Black women have played in creating our global community. Now available at AphroChic: https://aphrochic.com/fine-art?tag=Nardal%20Collection
