🎬 MKDR Episode 1 is live!

I’ve had the pleasure of working on and helping .maeng develop this YouTube concept over the last few months — and it’s finally out in the world 🙌🏻

These are some behind-the-scenes shots from Episode 1 📸

The show follows Jiny as she goes on a series of blind dates — each one picked by that episode’s host — in search of her own K-Drama-style love story ❤️

Episode 1 features and is hosted by Jiny’s best friend — it’s full of charm, chaos, and a few unexpectedly honest moments 👀

Jiny and I were connected through mutual friends, and at first, I’d just agreed to shoot the show.
But as the idea evolved, I ended up jumping in as producer and director — and it’s been one of the most unexpected and genuinely fun projects I’ve worked on in a while.

We’ve now filmed multiple episodes, with Jiny going on dates with some very familiar faces from the world of TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram — and it’s been a blast shaping the tone and feel of the series alongside her 🙏🏻

This talk by .zolotarev was such a beautiful reminder of how powerful it is to return to your roots and follow what lights you up ✨

After competing on Masterchef, Anastasia worked at some of Sydney’s top restaurants before diving into food photography, recipe development, and now—launching her debut international cookbook Sour Cherries and Sunflowers 📖

A recent trip back to Ukraine and Belarus sparked the journey, reconnecting her with the food of her childhood and the stories behind it. So much heart in this one—honest, grounded and incredibly moving 🤍

Loved it. And as always, so good to be part of this community 📸

This talk by brought the house down, authentic, raw and super honest - Definitely up there with my favourite CM talks so far 🙌🏻✨

Dale Bigeni a visual artist, illustrator & graphic designer spent time in the corporate world at some of Sydney’s biggest agencies honing his craft before going on to carve out freelance work for big name brands like Marvel, Nike, Disney, Xbox & Mambo to name a few.

Creating since high school Dale attributes alternative culture in particular tattoo, punk & skate culture as his biggest influences 🛹🤘🏻

Epic talk, so inspiring & as always such an awesome community to be part of 🤍🙏🏻

There’s something so satisfying shooting people and events and capturing someone in their essence ✨

Capturing big emotions is one of my favourite things about shooting photos 📸

really enjoy working closely with clients to understand what their business is all about. There’s something really rewarding about getting to the heart of their story and finding the best way to bring that to life through photography.

The process of telling that story creatively is always exciting, and it keeps me inspired to approach each project in a fresh way. It’s one of the things I love most about what I do—each brief is a new challenge, and I get a lot of satisfaction from making that vision come to life.

I’m heading away this weekend to shoot a music festival, it’s so important to step away from your normal projects and embrace new environments, unique projects and take on the challenges that come with often super unique and niche briefs around the specific story of the brand.

A few highlights from SXSW—what an unforgettable experience! Here are some moments that stood out:

First up, supporting and shooting Nicole Velik as she delivered an incredible talk to 900 people on creativity. Watching her share her insights and inspire the crowd was an honour to be a part of 🙌🏻

Next, I had the chance to capture a fascinating panel on the evolving role of documentary filmmaking & ethics around paying your talent that take part in a documentary 🎥

The panel featured an incredible group of experts:
• Cian O’Cleary (Emmy Award-winning
showrunner and director of Love on the Spectrum)
• Kurt Docker (Director of You Can’t Ask That)
• Angela Bates (Award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and Head of First Nations at Screen Australia)

Incredible to hear the insights on such a niche topic within the film industry.

Shots from an epic talk and performance going deep on the film and music industry in California 🎶

I also had a blast jumping in for some photos with as we captured some epic bands running between three different venues. It was a whole new world for me, shooting performances in this way, and I had so much fun diving into a different niche of my field 🤘🏻



Overall, I loved the experience of working on multiple projects throughout the week—juggling different jobs, absorbing tons of great content, and meeting some amazing people at the festival.

When the wedding turns into a vogue shoot 😎

Massive thanks to these two legends for letting me share and capture their special day, such a unique & fun wedding day 🙌🏻

Funny story: On my way from doing the getting ready shots at the hotel heading to the ceremony my cars alternator decided it needed a holiday. My car broke down on the Anzac bridge with minutes left to get to the ceremony I called the super hero who came to get the car, chucked the keys on the front seat and basically hitch hiked, this incredible guy pulled over, drove me to the ceremony in Camperdown & I got there just in time to shoot the wedding. My car got towed away, he’s completely fine now after a stern talking to and a trip to the mechanic. 3/10 would not recommend.. But we get the job done 💪🏻

Adriana is an author and illustrator, creating beautiful, detailed romantic digital creations that have been featured in Vogue & T2 - Listening to Adriana talking about her art & her creative process was so inspiring.

Taking inspiration from the natural world around her Adriana talked about the places that get her creativity flowing - Her mother’s garden, North American trees, and her love of blending nature with digital art 🌳

At the end of our last shooting day the ProYou director left the interview to rumble around at his desk for something.. We left the cameras rolling and David came back to explain a concept they’d started at ProYou’s inception - ‘The Baggy Black”.

Cricketers when representing their country get a ‘Baggy Green’ with their number on it, if they play 1 or 100 tests that number is theirs forever.

ProYou directors being big cricket fans started a similar initiative for staff & their network partners and to much surprise I was offered a Baggy Black with number ‘47’.

Such a nice touch, very honoured to be a ProYou partner and continue to work with these guys long into the future.. also the closest I’ll ever get to playing professional sport so I’m running with it! 😂
