LOST 1973 ALBUM FROM SPARROW’S TOM MARSHALL IS OUT NOW

In the early 1970s, after another of his bands had split, Tom was offered the chance to earn a living as a working musician in the Middle East, playing in resorts and hotels every evening. It was during this time he wrote and recorded the ‘Catch a Falling Star’ album. Recorded on a TEAC 4-track and a Revox tape recorder, Tom found time on his rare off days, utilising mornings and afternoons to create this unreleased work of brilliance. These lost songs sound like the classic rock and pop writing of the 1960s and 1970s.

NICKI LEIGHTON-THOMAS – IT ONLY TOOK A MINUTE

Nicki’s vocals have featured on work ranging from artists such as Gary Husband (Level 42), Belinda Carlisle, Padraig Jack and she has recorded a collection of songs by Dory Previn.

In 2021 a fortuitous meeting with record producer John Williams (The Housemartins, The Proclaimers, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, Claudia Brücken, Petula Clark - the list goes on) led to Nicki singing vocals on The John Williams Syndicate album ‘Into The Light’. Keen to learn from his broad experience and talent, Nicki asked if he would be interested in writing with her and “It Only Took A Minute” was born.
