Happy True Crime Fact Friday, Everyone!

Did you know that David Berkowitz asked NOT to be released from prison? You’d assume that he’s afraid that he will kill again after his release, however, when asked if he has changed while in prison, he responded saying, “I am no risk whatsoever.”

He’s been referred to as a model prisoner and graduated with honors from a community college. He counseled fellow prisoners and changed his name to the “Son of Hope” in 1987 after converting to evangelical Christianity.

The night of June 14th, 1990 near Mariestad Helena Andersson disappeared. Police found her blood-stained shoes and rings in some vegetation near the path only 150 meters from her home. A person walking close to the road told the police that she heard
