After releasing our episode on this case just days ago, we are so relieved to already have an update.
The unidentified partial remains of Kandis Fitzpatrick were recovered in Nov 2021 and have finally been confirmed to be the 18 year old who went missing in 2008.
The man responsible, Adam Strong, has already been sentenced to 1st degree murder for 18-year-old, Rori Hache and manslaughter of Kandis Fitzpatrick in May 2021. Police initially came upon Kandis’s DNA on a hunting knife in his basement suite during the Rori Hache investigation. Kandis’s remains were never found which was why he was sentenced to manslaughter.
2 months after his sentencing, Adam Strong volunteered information to a staff member at the correctional facility regarding the location of Kandis’s remains. He was then interviewed by the homicide team and eventually took them to her burial site and pointed to a grassy area near a tree line in northern Oshowa.
Now if you listened to our episode, you might be thinking “what did he want in return?😒” since we heard his ridiculous requests during his initial interrogation. According to Det.-Sgt. Doris Carriere, Strong received nothing in return, stating “There was no financial compensation or added privilege for him while in custody,” “There was some negotiation, none of which was entertained by police.” So whatever requests he had, he didn’t get them. (Probably another ridiculous Wendy’s order with iced tea and no ice) 🙄
Unfortunately, because Strong has already been convicted, they cannot upgrade the charges to 1st degree murder. But at least Kandis’s family can bring her home and begin their healing.
Adam Strong is currently serving both sentences and won’t be eligible for parole until Dec 29, 2042.
Mark your calendars! 📆 After taking a few weeks off, we’re excited to say a new episode will be out this Monday!
Well sh*t…we hate to leave you hanging but life in Vancouver has gotten a little nutty lately. With an “atmospheric river” overtaking the lower mainland, we’ve been slammed with flooding, several mudslides & collapsing bridges. We appreciate your patience while we take a minute! 💜
Sooo soon till we drop our two-parter!! Get ready…this is our darkest case yet 😳😳😳
Sorry friends! This weeks episode isn’t quite ready but we promise it will be worth the wait! We’re going to release TWO full episodes next Monday, Nov 1st! Stay tuned 👀
I’m sorry, what?! 😱 We can’t believe that we’ve reached over 40,000 downloads! Thank you so much for tuning in, we appreciate all of you 💜💜💜

Abbotsford Killer, Terry Driver, has died in prison of “natural causes” on August 23, 2021 at the age of 56.
Driver was sentenced to life in prison in 1997 for the murder of 16 y/o Tanya Smith and the attempted murder of her friend, Misty Cockerill. Driver attacked the 2 young girls with a bat when they were walking to a party in 1995. After the attack, Driver spent the following months terrorizing the community by calling the police with details on the murder and threats of another attack which were released to the public.
We hope that with this news, it can bring some peace and closure to the families and everyone who was affected by his heinous crimes.
🎙🎙🎙 If you haven’t heard this case, we covered it in episode 34: Catch Me If You Can on Whose Crime Is It Anyway?

In acknowledgement of International Missing Children’s Day, we are sharing the very first episode we ever covered: The O’Brien Brothers.
Adam, Trevor, and Mitchell O'Brien were abducted by their father, Gary, on November 9, 1996. None of them have been seen since and Gary is still wanted.
If you have any information that would help with this case, please contact the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary at 709–729–8000
