✈️ Ryanair’s 2025 Baggage Rules: What You Need to Know
If you’re flying with Ryanair soon, here’s what you need to know about their updated baggage policies:
📦 What’s Changing?
Bigger Personal Item Allowed: As of August 1, 2025, Ryanair has increased the allowed dimensions for the free personal item from 40x25x20 cm to 𝟰𝟬𝘅𝟯𝟬𝘅𝟮𝟬 cm, giving you a bit more space for your essentials.
Staff Incentives for Oversized Bags: Starting November 2025, Ryanair is raising the bonus for staff who identify oversized cabin bags from €1.50 to €2.50 per bag. Additionally, the previous monthly cap of €80 has been removed, meaning stricter enforcement of baggage rules.

Free Personal Item: One small bag (max 40x30x20 cm) included with all fares.
Priority & 2 Cabin Bags: Adds a 10kg cabin bag (max 55x40x20 cm) and priority boarding.
Checked Baggage: Options for 10kg, 20kg, or 23kg checked bags, with fees varying based on route and booking time.
To avoid potential gate fees by ensure your cabin bag fits within the allowed dimensions. Oversized bags can incur charges up to £75 if found at the gate.
