Tried the famous egg tart in Macau and honestly, everyone was right — it’s way better than the ones in Hong Kong. I’ve tried Bakehouse and the one in Ngong Ping, but this one’s just creamier, flakier, and overall better.

We ate at this restaurant (it’s in the sixth photo). I had curry chicken and Edge ordered something else, but everything was so good — and so cheap compared to Hong Kong 😭

Only downside was my orange lemon drink… it literally tasted like orange water with zero sugar 😅 but it’s fine, the food made up for it.

Celebrated our anniversary dinner at Run Forest Run restaurant 🥲 We thought it was a fine dining spot but turns out it’s more of a diner haha.
We paid around 700+ HKD for everything including drinks — food was actually good, but honestly not sure if it was worth the price. Maybe it’s because it’s at The Peak, so I get it.

Still a bit sad though cause we originally reserved a nice restaurant at Harbour Bridge for our anniversary dinner (and it was way cheaper too 😭), but we ran out of time so we ended up here instead.

And omg the people staring when I used flash while taking pics 😭 like girl just let me take my pictures, I literally saved up for this trip and just wanted to capture the moment 🥹

full food review’s on my previous post, but this time—storytime. we kinda got scammed outside the temple, he just put the bracelet on our wrists and said it was for the temple so we thought it was free. next thing we know, he’s asking for money. we gave 20hkd but what he wrote in his notebook was 500hkd haha

anyways still such a fun day, just super hot. the stairs to see the Buddha was not for me, i almost gave up on the last few steps hahaha

also the cable car, i wouldn’t advise riding it alone or just with your friend or bf. it’s definitely scarier when it’s just the two of you.

Arrived in Hongkong probably around 8, then hopped on a bus going to our hotel. We got there around 9–10 and it was already super late, so we didn’t really have a choice but to just stroll around the area.

First impression:
It was cool! The bus we rode was kinda scary though because they drive pretty fast and the road feels so small but we arrived safe so I guess that’s just how they drive here.

Checked into our hotel (we’ll create a separate video for that 👀). After that, we walked around a bit. There were still people out and about so we grabbed dinner at a local resto.

Also… first time encountering an auntie 🥲 I got lowkey scolded because I put my bag on the table so I was anxious the whole dinner hahaha.

We ordered goose and fried kimchi rice. The kimchi rice was really good, but the goose… has a very strong flavor. Not for me 😅

After dinner, we just grabbed snacks at a convenience store and that basically sums up our first day!
