The heat must be getting to us because this throwback feels crazy!

According to our calendars, it's been FOUR years since The Climate Alarm Clock first launched!

Indicative of the times we were in, we celebrated the launch of Ireland's first dedicated climate news podcast off with a virtual event very generously hosted by the award winning, critically acclaimed author, comedian and broadcaster !

The event was a chance to meet the team behind it and find out what inspired us to create this action and solution based podcast.

It's crazy to think that four years later, this volunteer led project is still going! Thanks so much to all of the amazing contributors, listeners, coffee buyers who have motivated and supported us to continue on this path.

And to ... it's crazy that we still feel as though this show is needed - time for you to put this podcast out of business!

The Climate Alarm Clock was delighted to record our first-ever live podcast at the incredible Earth Rising Festival at IMMA - Irish Museum of Modern Art a couple of weeks ago, and the episode is now live! 🌍🎙️

During the episode we dig into Ireland’s hottest summer on record, and how many of us underestimate just how many people do want to see climate action.

As always, the episode is available to listen to our the usual platforms.

NEW EPISODE!

2025's first Climate Question episode of the year: What's the craic with climate change in 2025?

Throughout this recording, we delve into where we stand in terms of the big wins and challenges when it comes to tackling climate change, while doing our best to give a jargon free overview of the science and terminology.

This episode in particular will hopefully act as a useful tool for anyone is newly into the conversation about climate change. So if that's you, then welcome!

For anyone else who is a supporter of the podcast, we'd love for you to share this with friends, family, or colleagues who are just starting their climate journey by sharing, tagging, sending my pigeon carrier, etc.

The gang is back together... and talk about starting things off with a bang!

On the first episode of 2025, we discuss the many worrying climate developments that have occured since Trump re-entered the presidential office including, but unfortunately not limited to:

- the EPA rolling back on findings that greenhouse gases cause harm to the environment
- the US cutting global finance aid
- as well as NASA eliminating it's Office of the Chief Scientist, along with offices advising on technology, strategy, and coordinating the agency's DEI efforts

We also talk about what's been happening a little closer to home since our new government has finally formed... LNG, Climate Fines and more.
