1973 HOF SP Project. History Maker Baseball & Greenfox Spreadsheet.

The Mets pour it on late with three HRs (Grote, Jones, Milner) to support a 3-hit CG from Tom Seaver. Only a Ken Singleton 9th inning HR spoiled the shutout in a 6-1 win for New York.

Finally back to the table after some travel! Picked up where I left off with the 1978 NTRA season replay. Race #21 was the Travers Stakes with Alydar collecting yet another win over Affirmed. IRL, Affirmed was DQd, but here he finishes second cleanly.

1978 NTRA Season. Whitney Stakes at Saratoga.

Alydar gets another win on the season defeating Wise Philip and Proud Arion. This was the 7th win of the season for Alydar. He also had two second place finishes: his allowance race to Noon Time Spender and the Kentucky Derby, where he lost to Affirmed.

I'm about halfway through the schedule and into August of the replay season.

Dallas wins the 1966 AFL/NFL Tournament with a 10-0 victory over Kansas City. Their defense was up to the task for this tournament. allowing only 9 points in three games. They accumulated 11 sacks in those games, with Townes securing 5 of those. They also had a forced fumble and three interceptions in the tournament.

1966 Big Game Championship. Halftime score.

Dallas goes into the locker room up 10-0 thanks in large part to an INT by LeeRoy Jordan that gave Dallas the ball at the KC 26 yard line. 4 plays later Les Shy ran it in from the 1 yard line for a 10-0 lead. The Chiefs had some momentum late, but Mike Mercer missed a 39 yard FG as time expired. Kansas City will receive to start the second half. Probably finish the game tomorrow.

1966 AFL/NFL Tournament. NFL Championship Game. Season Ticket Football.

Bob Hayes scored two Touchdowns to help the Dallas Cowboys defeats the Green Bay Packers 27-7 to advance to the Big Game Championship to face the Kansas City Chiefs. Hayes caught 6 passes for 112 yards, the last of which was an electric 48 yard catch and run to put the icing on the cake in the 4th Quarter. The Green Bay running game was stymied all afternoon, totaling only 33 yards on the ground. When Lombardi switched to the passing attack late, the Dallas front 7 pinned their ears back and relentlessly pursued Bart Starr, totaling 5 sacks.

Kansas City won the AFL Championship, defeating Buffalo 21-6, with Chris Burford catching 13 passes for 134 yards in that game to pace the Chiefs offense.

Catfish Hunter won 2 of 3 starts this week, and Juan Marichal also got a win. Hunter moved up on most leaderboards with three good outings. Marichal earned his first win of the project and is on the hill starting the next series as he faces Fergie Jenkins.

d6 Pro Football Dynasty by 3d6 Gaming.

Well, I hung around long enough to really put together a dynasty, and then finished with some truly successful seasons. The overall score is decent. The overall record is one of my best yet, as I avoided the truly horrible losing seasons (used a coaching influence to turn a 1-15 season into a 7-9 at one point).

We have completed 36 games, and are still mostly working on April starts. These are the pitching leaders to date.

The last three games saw the designated SP have their teams lose.
Fergie Jenkins and the Cubs lost to Pittsburgh
Jim Kaat and the Twins lost to Oakland
Steve Carlton and the Phillies lost to New York (Mets)

Up next in the AL is Ga***rd Perry as his Indians travel to Detroit.

Next up in the NL is Juan Marichal as his Giants host Cincinnati.
