Shockwave Wrestling Alliance. Face to the Mat.

Kicked off a new wrestling project using my Road to Wrestlemania template. This federation is dusting off some wrestlers my brother created and I had started a project with (and abandoned!) back in 2023.

For this version, I am going with an ACDC theme for the first season. My two weekly shows will be High Voltage and Dirty Deeds. The weekend showcase will be T.N.T. And each of my monthly PPVs will also be named after classic songs from the band, culminating with the Year End Fanfest "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)"

The first event, High Voltage, featured the Television Championship changing hands as Zaz Squash defeated Jumbo Jetstar by executing his finisher Sqaushthing! We are building up to our first PPV event in a couple of weeks, Are You Ready? which features a World Championship match as well as a King of the Ring tournament.

2011 NFL Tournament. Fast Drive Football.

First round action is complete. Super Bowl Champions eliminated (NY Giants), but all of the top seeds advance. Only the Giants and Bengals were among teams with winning records to be eliminated. Denver (8-8) were also eliminated. They were the AFC West Champions that year.

New challenge unlocked. I found myself outside Atlanta, GA and just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play a game of Gridzone at the base of Stone Mountain!

2011 NFL Tournament. Fast Drive Football.

Wild ending sees the Champions eliminated in the first round!

We entered the 4th Quarter tied 21-21.
Giants scored a rushing TD (3 ticks) lead by 7.
Seattle scores a rushing TD (2 ticks) tied.
Giants kick a FG (2 ticks) lead by 3.
Seattle scores a rushing TD (2 ticks) lead by 4.

Giants get the ball with 3 ticks remaining. They roll a 1-6-6 … Touchdown! However, the timing die is a 6 (4 ticks) and they rolled a blank on the decided die. Only option is to convert the TD to a FG attempt. They convert, losing 35-34 however. They need to recover an onside kick and convert a desperation play. But Seattle secures the kick cleanly to advance!

1983 Auburn at 1983 Nebraska. Match-Up College Football.

Nebraska defeats Auburn 28-12 in a game that never happened in real-life. I chose these two for the featured RBs: Mike Rozier (NEB) and Bo Jackson (AUB). This was not Jackson's Heisman year, but it was Rozier's. Nebraska was ahead 21-0 early, before Auburn chipped away literally with 4 consecutive FGs. A 4th Quarter TD put this one out of reach.

Mike Rozier rushes 22 times for 138 yards and 2 TDs. He also returned one kickoff for 12 yards. (150 APY)

Bo Jackson rushes 14 times for 104 yards. He catches 2 passes for 10 yards and returns 2 kickoffs for 50 yards (164 APY).

Great game for both backs against decent defensive units.

1993-94 New York Rangers Playoff Replay.

I finally got this set on the table! A favorite from last year’s holiday sale. Kicked off my Q4 project a day early and saw Matteau score an empty-netter to seal a 5-1 Rangers win over the Islanders!
