The Latest Toll showed 5,434 people killed in and at least 1,872 in , for a combined total of 7,306 deaths and 22,168 Injured.

The 7.8-magnitude quake struck Monday as people slept, flattening thousands of structures, trapping an unknown number of people and potentially impacting millions.

Whole rows of buildings collapsed, leaving some of the heaviest devastation near the quake's epicentre between the Turkish cities of Gaziantep and Kahramanmaras.



*Three Deadly and Powerful Earthquakes in just 24 Hours and Kills Over 7,306 in Turkey and Syria, Freezing Weather Hits Survivors.

*Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in 10 provinces.

*145 aftershocks have been registered following the deadly quake overnight.

*Turkey declared Seven days of mourning for the dead.

*The quake is considered to be the strongest to hit the region in nearly a century.

*The initial quake was followed by more than 50 aftershocks, including 7.5 and a 6-magnitude tremors.

The 7.8-magnitude night-time tremor, followed hours later by two more big ones, wiped out entire sections of major Turkish cities in a region filled with millions of people who have fled the civil war in Syria and other conflicts.

Terrible Big Hailstones Pelts Rosario, Argentina || Feb 27, 2022.


A violent hailstorm hits the metropolitan area of Greater Rosario on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

Some of the hailstones were described as being as big as baseballs, by witnesses.

The Huge Hailstones pummelled San Lorenzo, Roldán, Funes, Ybarlucea and Fray Luis Beltrán, among other towns around Rosario.

There were many reports of Huge Hailstones falling in Fisherton, while in Montevideo and Francia, as soon as the first hits of hail were felt on cars, motorists rushed to take refuge in a service station. It also hailed in the north of the city, in the area of ​​La Florida and Nuevo Alberdi.

Huge Hailstones were also recorded in San Lorenzo, Roldán, Funes, Ybarlucea and Fray Luis Beltrán, among other towns around Rosario.

Intense Hailstorm and Heavy Rain in Mendoza, Rio Negro, Argentina || Feb 23, 2022.


A red alert was issued for the Argentinian province of Rio Negro on Wednesday, February 23, as storms brought heavy rain and hail across parts of the country.

Mendoza city shows heavy rain falling as deep floodwaters stream down a road.

Other consequences include power outages, flooding of streets and falling branches and trees. The storm started just after 4 pm on Wednesday and despite its short duration, the people of Mendoza were surprised at its intensity.

Argentina’s National Meteorological Service warned there was a potential for storms of varying intensities to spread over the country’s central region.

Severe Hailstorm and Strong winds hits Surabaya, Indonesia || Feb 21, 2022.


Dozens of buildings and houses in Surabaya were damaged by heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and hail on Monday. The damage ranged from the roof collapsing to broken glass.

The storm also brought hail size ball to east Java on Monday. One local said that many tree fell into the road blocking traffic.

Hail isnt common along the coast in Tropical Indonesia.

Death toll in Brazil's Petropolis mudslides, floods Rises 181 and more than 100 missing || Feb 21, 2022.


The number of fatalities caused by floods and landslides in the city of Petropolis, Brazil since February 15, 2022, has risen to 181 on February 21, 2022.

More than 100 people are still missing, at least 200 have been injured and 856 displaced.

Local authorities registered 755 landslide events in the area.

Rescue workers and residents are still digging through mountains of mud and rubble in the city, but it is unclear how high the steadily rising death toll will go as authorities said it's unlikely any more survivors will be found beneath the wreckage.

Storm Franklin hits UK with Heavy rains, Strong Winds and Power Cuts || Feb 21, 2022.


The United Kingdom has been hit by the third storm in a week. After storm Eunice and Dudley, storm Franklin has caused heavy rain and severe flooding in northern Ireland.

Storm Franklin saw strong winds batter Northern Ireland in the early hours of Monday. It caused fallen trees and some flooding in coastal areas, with homes and businesses damaged. In Great Britain, Ironbridge evacuated as floodwaters pose 'significant risk to life' the storm sparked evacuations in some areas as well as rush hour, travel chaos.

Flood warnings at the Wharfage in Ironbridge, Shropshire, and Bewdley in Worcestershire, as the barriers on the river risk overtopping.

It said in a statement: "Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water.

Devastating wildfire in the province of Corrientes in northeastern Argentina has razed almost 800,000 hectares (8,000 square kilometres) of land, or nearly 10 percent of the region's area.

Forest fires are sweeping the northeastern province on an unprecedented scale, causing heavy economic losses and serious environmental damage, according to government officials, farmers and environmentalists.

Experts warn the environmental damage left by the fires will be incalculable, especially its impact on the flora and fauna of the littoral province.

Heavy Snowfall hit Japan, Canceled 140 flights and Suspended Trains || Feb 21, 2022.



Heavy snow hit northern Japan on Monday, disrupting air and railway traffic, with weather authorities warning of more blizzards, as well as high waves for the region and also some eastern parts of the country.

About 140 flights to and from New Chitose Airport, the main air gateway to the northern main island of Hokkaido, were canceled as of 9:30 a.m., while Hokkaido Railway Co. suspended all train runs to and from JR Sapporo Station.

Heavy snow and wind are believed to have created extremely poor visibility conditions, or a whiteout, at the site. Many vehicles have been stranded on the expressway, they said.

Up to 70 cm of snow is projected to fall on the Hokuriku region on the Sea of Japan coast in 24 hours through 6 a.m. Tuesday, while the Kanto-Koshin region in eastern and central Japan expects to see maximum snowfall of 50 cm in the same period.

Madagascar braces for another Powerful Cyclone Emnati || Feb 20, 2022.


Cyclone Emnati is expecting to bring torrential Heavy Rain and Strong Wind It is the third powerful cyclone to affect Madagascar this month after cyclones Batsirai and Dumako.

Forecast the cyclone emnati hit close to the same area affected by Batsirai, said Nomenjanahary Mamy Andriamirado, a weather forecaster with the national meteorological service.
