Translation is coming to the Pailot app this week.

We observed so many translation requests from non-english speaking pioneers around the world during the . We took these requests seriously and went to work.

Pioneers will now be able to derive optimal utility from Pailot across some language barriers. We will continue to work on improvements as we march towards mainnet, where you can spend Pi for your deliveries.

We want to appreciate the support of all pioneers this far in testing out the functions of our app. Your impressions and suggestions lend weight to how utilitarian the Pailot app is, and were insightful to help us make the app better for you.

While we are still working hard to implement more functions to ensure the inclusivity of diverse pioneers across the globe, here are some of your impressions of the Pailot app.

We have heard complaints from pioneers about their inability to use the biometrics feature to sign into their wallet while transacting on Pailot.

We know that this issue is not just faced on the Pailot platform alone, but also across other apps in the ecosystem, and the problem is not from the applications.

The problem is from pioneers not setting up their fingerprint or face ID login in their wallet initially, or their device not supporting such use of biometrics.

So in order to help pioneers enable their biometrics, we have created this short explainer video to guide pioneers in setting up fingerprint/Face ID biometrics.

This will help all pioneers facing the biometrics issue across ecosystem apps. Pioneers will then be able to comfortably authenticate their wallet for transactions on Pailot and all the other ecosystem apps.

NOTE: Pailot never asks for or stores your passphrase. The Pi SDK always redirects you from Pailot to wallet.pinet.com for you to safely input your passphrase or use your biometrics for login.

Whenever you are asked to input your passphrase or use your fingerprint to sign into your wallet, always check the link at the top to make sure it is wallet.pinet.com

Pailot is always committed to helping the general Pi Network ecosystem become safer and more efficient, with more value for pioneers to enjoy.

NEW FEATURES & BUG FIXES

We have implemented the ‘STAKE MORE,’ ‘UNSTAKING,’ and ‘WITHDRAWAL’ functions, and have squashed bugs on ‘hire’ a pailot for a smoother experience.

Stake more: Can be applied after pailots have already staked. This allows them the chance to accept more delivery tasks with consignments that cost more than what is in their ‘available stake.’

Unstaking: Can be applied when there is no active delivery nor outstanding delivery pending.

Withdrawal: Can be done once every 7 days.

Hire a pailot: You can opt to hire a pailot directly, instead of creating your own customized delivery ad and waiting for a pailot to accept it from the request pool.

We would like pioneers to test out these new functions, using the Pi Browser and enter www.testnet.pailot.app and give us feedback using the . This will help us make improvements that will make the app better for you.

Pailot’s public testnet is now LIVE!

HOW TO TEST THE PAILOT APP

Note that to be able to execute a transaction successfully, 3 users are needed to play the roles of :

Sender > Pailot > Receiver

1. Go to the Pi browser and enter the link: www.testnet.pailot.app
2. Authenticate
3. Become a Pailot and set up your delivery preferences.
4. To send an item, switch to sender/receiver tab from home screen.
5. Create a delivery ad.
6. A pailot accepts the ad.
7. Sender makes payment.
8. Pailot meets sender and collects sender's Vcode to pick up item.
9. Pailot goes to receiver and collects receiver's Vcode to deliver item.
10. The delivery is now completed and the pailot receives payment into their wallet.
11. Post feedback of your testing experience on twitter/X using the hashtag , along with screenshots.

We will be paying attention to the hashtag to see your helpful feedback. This will help us make necessary improvements, to better serve pioneers and the Pi Network ecosystem.

NEW PAILOT APP FUNCTIONS

We are pleased to inform all pioneers that Pailot has implemented these new functions:

• Profile Picture Upload
• A2U payment (Direct payments to Pailot Wallet Address)
• Platform fees
• Staking activation (based on price of the consignment)
• Updated testnet link

Tomorrow, when the testnet goes live, pioneers will be able to experience these new functions and all the other features that make up the entirety of the Pailot app so far.

We are so excited to announce that Pailot’s Public Testnet will be launched on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 00:00 PST (midnight, California Time).

All global pioneers will then have access to test out our app’s functionalities.
