A fresh new studiotalk with Horizon One enjoy 👇
1. Tell us more about the Horizon One project. Where does the name come from?
I started the project in 2017 and since then, I’ve released all of my music with it. This has ranged from slower progressive tracks all the way to uplifting trance. There isn’t much of a backstory to the name. I basically just made a list of names that sounded “trancey” to me and Horizon One was the name I liked the most.
2. Which part of the day is the best to be in the studio for you?
Definitely late at night, I’m the most productive then. It isn’t great for my sleep schedule though so I’ve tried producing more during the day recently, but inspiration always seems to come to me late at night.
3. How is the trance scene in LA?
It’s great! I feel like LA is one of the best areas to live in if you like trance. Big DJs play here pretty frequently, both at nightclubs and at the large festivals we have here.
4. Since you are from Cali and everything is relatively close, are you a beach person or a mountain person?
I actually prefer the city itself to both of those. I love the energy of LA and being around that helps to inspire me. If I were to get away from the city, though, I’d pick the beach. Malibu is probably my top pick. Driving along the coast there is super nice.
5. What are the future plans with the Horizon One project?
I have a bunch of songs I’ve been working on recently, so you can expect quite a few releases from me next year. Some of them are in my usual style, but I’ve also been experimenting a lot too. I’ll be posting some of my new ideas on my Instagram page, so be sure and follow me there to hear my latest ones.
