"As you ascend or descend the stairs, you may come across a different path that may not exist once you take it. This path could be in the form of another flight of stairs or a turn in a short hallway. You may notice a door with a sign on it. You may find a room that looks completely different from the other parts of the building you've seen so far, and you might feel that the air is strangely still and musty like a damp basement.
After taking a few wrong turns, getting lost, and attempting to find your way back, you realize that your efforts have been in vain as it has taken several hours to navigate without success. To your dismay, upon locating the spot you’re certain you began at, you discover that the staircase has vanished, replaced by flat, continuous wood paneling. Despite the area appearing precisely the same as when you entered this liminal space, you begin to question whether you were mistaken. You ponder the vastness of this place and how much more there could be to it. As the feeling of being trapped starts to creep up your spine and your legs start to feel weak, you have no choice but to abandon your search for the stairway and concentrate on finding any exit, any way out."
