3 Unspoken Rules in Japan*

After spending over a month in Japan, I've picked up a few unspoken rules:

1. *No Eating or Drinking While Walking:* It's considered rude to eat or drink while walking. You might get some looks if you do. Instead, enjoy your food at the storefront or wait until you're home.

2. *Escalator Etiquette:* Stand on the left if you're not in a hurry, and let people pass on the right.

3. *Clean Streets, Few Trash Cans:* Despite Japan's cleanliness, public trash cans are rare. Be prepared to carry a bag for your garbage and dispose of it later.
