✨ The truth about Disney crowds ✨

One of the most common questions I hear is:
“When is the least crowded time to go to Disney World?”

Here’s the honest answer most families don’t expect 👇
There really isn’t a slow season anymore.

But here’s the good news 💛
Crowds don’t have to ruin your trip.

The best time to go isn’t based on a crowd calendar —
it’s when your family can go and when you have a plan that fits your energy, your kids, and your priorities.

✨ Planning > perfect timing ✨
And yes… you can still have a magical trip, even when it’s busy 🏰💫

It’s my birthday this week, and it made me realize I haven’t shared one of my favorite FREE souvenirs at Disney World — celebration buttons 🎉

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or first visit, you can grab a button for free at your resort’s front desk or at Guest Relations in the parks.

And here’s the fun bonus — so many Cast Members will congratulate you or wish you a happy birthday just because you’re wearing it. It’s such a small thing, but it adds a little extra magic to your trip 🪄

Have you ever grabbed a celebration button? I even got one for my daughter’s graduation this past March 💛

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family!

One of the questions I hear all the time is:
👉 “When is the best time to go to Disney World?”

And with holidays like Christmas and New Year’s, the parks can even hit capacity which makes the question feel even more stressful.

Here’s the honest truth:
✨ There really isn’t a “slow time” anymore. ✨

So instead of waiting for the perfect week, the best time to go is when your family is free. From there, it’s all about having a plan to manage the crowds and the busyness so your trip still feels magical (not overwhelming).

👉 Crowds don’t have to ruin your trip — planning makes all the difference.

If Gideon’s is on your Disney Springs must-do list, this tip can save you hours 🍪✨

We LOVE stopping at Gideon’s on a Disney rest day because the cookies and cake slices are seriously next-level. BUT the line can get very long, especially later in the day. (Think a virtual queue that can be hours long!)

Here’s the trick we swear by:
👉 Go right when they open.

One day we checked the virtual queue and it was hours long, so we skipped it and came back the next morning at opening. We waited about 15–20 minutes and were in. Totally worth it.

If Gideon’s is important to your family, planning the timing makes all the difference.

One of our favorite resorts to visit on a Disney rest day is the Polynesian 🌺

Even when we’re not staying there, we love resort hopping over to walk around, check out the shops, and soak in the tropical vibes. It feels like a mini vacation inside your vacation.

There are several great dining options, including quick service, Capt. Cook’s (hello, Thai meatballs 😍), but my favorite stop will always be Pineapple Lanai 🍍
A Dole Whip on a slower Disney day just hits different.

Resort hopping is such a fun way to enjoy Disney magic without a park ticket and the Polynesian is always at the top of our list.

One of the biggest game-changers for our Disney trips was learning to plan rest days on purpose ✨

For a long time, I felt like rest days meant we were “wasting time.” But once we started building them into our trips, everything changed—fewer meltdowns, more energy, and way more enjoyment in the parks.

These are the rest day options we always consider:
🏨 Enjoying our resort
🛍️ Spending time at Disney Springs
🏨 Resort hopping
🚝 Riding the monorail to explore the resorts

You don’t need a park ticket to have a magical Disney day. Sometimes slowing down is exactly what your family needs.

One of the most common questions I get about Disney World is:
👉 “What shoes should I wear?”

And here’s the honest truth — no two people’s feet are the same. What works great for one person might be miserable for someone else.

The best advice I can give?
🚫 Do NOT wear brand-new shoes to the parks.

Buy your shoes at least a month in advance and break them in before your trip and yes, the same goes for your kiddos’ shoes too. Your feet will thank you after those long park days.

For me personally, I’ve had good luck with Brooks, Hokas, and Chacos, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be perfect for everyone. Comfort > trends, always.

One of our favorite ways to spend a Disney rest day is resort hopping, and our absolute favorite resort to visit is the Polynesian 🌺

The Polynesian is beautifully themed and instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a tropical escape — such a fun change of pace from busy park days.

We love walking around, checking out the shops, and grabbing food. There are several great dining options, including the quick service with the yummy Thai meatballs 🤍
But my favorite stop? Pineapple Lanai 🍍
A classic pineapple Dole Whip on a rest day just hits different.

Resort hopping is such a fun, relaxing way to enjoy Disney magic without a park ticket and the Polynesian is always at the top of our list.

One of our favorite ways to spend a Disney rest day is resort hopping the monorail resorts 🚝✨

It’s such a fun way to enjoy Disney magic without a park ticket — and the monorail makes it easy.

We love stopping at all three:
🌺 Polynesian – for the tropical vibes and the Dole Whip stand
✨ Grand Floridian – the newly renovated lobby is absolutely beautiful
🏙️ Contemporary – where the monorail actually goes through the resort (always a hit with kids!)

Resort hopping is relaxing, fun, and still feels so Disney — perfect for a slower rest day.

One of our favorite Disney rest day activities is resort hopping 🏨✨

You can visit other Disney resorts, check out their shops, walk around, and eat at their restaurants — it’s such a fun way to experience more Disney without a park ticket.

Just a quick reminder:
🚫 You can’t use resort amenities like the pool
🚗 You also can’t park there unless you have a dining reservation

Instead, plan to use Disney transportation like buses, boats, or the monorail (easy and part of the fun!)

Resort hopping is such a relaxing way to slow down, explore, and still enjoy Disney magic on a rest day.
