"How much non-performance content is too much?" 🎭💭

If you’ve been wondering this, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re hesitant to share anything beyond music. Maybe you don’t have enough performance content to post consistently. Or maybe you just don’t know what to post.

Here’s the thing: You can share as much non-performance content as you want—as long as your audience still knows you’re a musician. Balance is key. Even if you don’t have a concert coming up, there are plenty of ways to keep your music front and center—whether it’s sharing your practice process, your inspirations, or even how your everyday life feeds into your artistry.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. This is why we created a safe space where you can ask these questions. This is why we created Le Club—because we know how to do this. We’ve worked in social media for over a decade, we know what the right balance is, and we know how to make it work for you.

Got more questions about social media? Drop them in the comments—we’re here to help.

Wishing our cofounder Max Potter IN BOCCA AL LUPO for her role debut as Cherubino with Opera Santa Barbara this weekend!!

This week, we’re excited to celebrate the incredible Max Potter, a 2020 and 2022 Young Artist! Max first joined us during our virtual COVID season, creating digital performances that were shared with summer patrons across the U.S. (HINT: check out our blog post for a look back at one of Max's standout performances).

Max returned in 2022 as an Apprentice Artist, taking on roles such as Jenny Re**er and covering Anne in The Mother of Us All, as well as performing Ruthie and Elenita in The House on Mango Street.

Max's recent roles include Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier with Pacific Northwest Opera and the alto soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah at the Washington National Cathedral. This year, Max will take the stage as the mezzo soloist in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the San Luis Obispo Master Chorale. And this weekend, don't miss Max as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Santa Barbara! 💕

🎉We’re also excited🎉 to shout out Max’s new venture, Digitelle (Digitelle), where she and her team teach digital marketing & social media workshops for artists and arts organizations! In their first year, they taught at prestigious programs like San Francisco Opera’s Merola and Jennifer Rowley’s Aria Bootcamp, and have workshops planned at the Netherlands Lyric Opera Festival and Operaworks in the upcoming year!

Be sure to check out our blog post with 🔗 in bio to learn more about Max’s journey!

(Ideal for clips of you playing/singing well-known pieces.)

3️⃣ "What’s your favorite vibe: dramatic overture or heartfelt ballad? Vote in the comments!"
(Great for engaging your audience with your repertoire.)

This is one of the problems we see most often in instagram profiles!

If the links listed in your social media bio cannot be clicked, the next place a potential follower will click is…💥AWAY FROM YOUR PROFILE💥

Here’s what you need to know:
👉🏼 Having unusable links in your bio demonstrates a lack of know-how to potential followers…
❌ They automatically value your presence and content less because they assume you lack a strong understanding of social media platforms and how they function!

👉🏼 One major reason for having a social media presence is to drive followers to larger sources of information (website, box office, YouTube, etc)…
❌ If those links don’t work, you are losing out on a major sources of traffic to places that more strongly influence followers to purchase from you, follow your career, and even HIRE YOU!

🎭 Afraid of being "pushy" with performance posts? Let’s break down some facts: 📊Only about 8% of your followers see each post on their feed. You’re the only one seeing 100% of your content. That means the only person who feels like it’s “a lot” is YOU!Here’s the truth: on social media, “pushy” doesn’t exist—but staying quiet can mean missed opportunities. 🎶 Sharing your work is how your audience connects with your art and stays engaged with your journey. So, go ahead—post, share, repeat.
