51 years ago happened a planted two hand grenades were hurled at the stage during the Liberal Party proclamation rally with eight senatorial and manila candidates

It killed five year old child and Ben Roxas whos The Manila Times photographer, politician wounded as follow : congressman Ramon Miltra Jr of Palawan, senator Jovito Salonga, Eddie Llarde, Eva Estrada-Kalaw, Liberal Party President Gerardo Roxas, Sergio Osmeña Jr., Martin Isidro, Ambrosio “king” Lorenzo Jr., and Ramon Bagatsing. Ninoy Aquino who is the front runner of the Liberal Party didn’t attend in the event and many others question why?

Suspected group Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria “joma” Sison allegedly mastermind and behind the bombing to point out and blame the Marcos Administration in this incident.

CELEBRATED ON LAST FRIDAY OR LAST MONDAY OF AUGUST

National Heroes Day was first observed during the American colonial era. On October 28, 1931, Act No. 3827 became the first legislation establishing the holiday. The Act established the final Sunday in August as a recognized national holiday each year.

The Administrative Code's Book 1, Chapter 7 was modified by Republic Act No. 9492, which was signed into law by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on July 24, 2007. Because of R.A. 9492 National Heroes Day is therefore observed on the final Monday in August. The "Holiday Economics" initiative of President Arroyo, which aimed to minimize work interruptions by relocating holidays to the nearest Monday or Friday of the week, served as the justification for the change. This allowed for longer weekends and increased domestic leisure and tourism.

Our nation's heroes are frequently portrayed as a pantheon of distinctive and strong individuals who, through their words or deeds, have managed to secure their names in our history books. The law that established National Heroes Day, however, makes no mention of any particular heroes. And this lack of specifics provides a chance to honor the bravery of all Filipino heroes who have risked their lives or been persecuted for the sake of their country, their homeland, justice, and freedom.

On these day, August 21, 1983 Benigno Ninoy Aquino Jr. was shot in the head while being escorted from an aircraft in Manila International Airport. In 2004 a Republic Act.No. 2956 signed into law declaring August 21st of every year as Ninoy Aquino Day, a national non working holiday, in order to commemorate the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno Ninoy Aquino Jr. He is put through military trial charged¹ with murder, illegal possession of fi****ms and subversion.
