Fun Fact: Aside from the teeth, which cover the tongue as well, the sea lamprey's internal structure is made of cartilage, not bone.

This week we have the Triatoma sanguisuga or the EASTERN KISSING BUG

Fun fact: The name kissing bug comes from the tendency to bite near its host's face, often leaving irritations.

This week we have every dog's favorite the Pulex irritans or better known as the HOUSE FLEA

Fun fact: Several common species of fleas have been documented to live over a year, should they have adequate food.

Fun fact: This parasitic snail is attracted to chemicals contained in the mucus of rays.

Fun fact: This sneaky catfish has spines on its gills to make removal difficult, even fatal.

First up is the Calyptra thalictri or better known as the VAMPIRE MOTH

Fun fact: Only male vampire moths suck blood, while females typically feed on fruit and nectar.

My name is Rachel Prince, I am the website manager, concept artist, and dog wrangler at Third Act Games! My current favorite game is Everdell 🍂

I am from Pennsylvania, but currently live in Kansas with my husband, Ryan and our rambunctious puppy, Mowgli. I graduated from Liberty University, where Ryan and I met, with an Interdisciplinary degree in Cinematic arts & Communication. When not working on the website or play-testing our games, I work as a website operations coordinator. 💻
