Gorges du Verdon is one of the most spectacular sights in EUROPE. Sometimes called the Grand Canyon of Europe, it is a natural canyon 25 meters long and 700 meters deep located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in southeastern France. This natural gorge has attracted tourists to the area since the mid-19th century and is still very popular. Most tourists come to the gorge to swim, hike the edge of the gorge, or paddle along the river.
