Disney and Fox channels in Asia have officially ceased broadcasting at 1:00am, Manila time. The channels that were closed down include the Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Fox, Fox Life, Fox Movies, Fox Sports, Channel V, Nat Geo People, among many others. This event is a result of Disney's decision to focus on D2C (direct-to-consumer) offerings that include the Disney+ streaming service.

Formal announcement for Disney's launch of their streaming service in the Philippines is expected to be made in due course.
