KAPAMILYA PBB COLLAB HOUSEMATES REUNITE INSIDE BAHAY NI KUYA

A special Star Magic Spotlight presscon marked the reunion of Kapamilya PBB Collab Big 4 and housemates at the iconic Pinoy Big Brother House last July 14. It brought together the Kapamilya PBB Big 4 Brent Manalo, Ralph de Leon, Esnyr Ranollo, River Joseph and ex- housemates Kira Balinger, Xyriel Manabat, Klarisse de Guzman, and Bianca de Vera.

Fresh off their memorable season, the Kapamilya Big 4 and ex-housemates shared how life has changed, what they’ve learned, and how they are paying forward all the love and support since stepping out of Bahay ni Kuya.

Kapamilya Big winner Brent Manalo shared, "Grabe yung experience, parang fever dream talaga, I didn't expect na ganon karami ang mag show-up para sa aming lahat. Kasi before, kapag nag ma-mall show ako, siguro may mga ilan...I guess twenty people, but now, I think hundreds talaga, if not thousands of people who showed up for us. Hopefully hindi matapos itong pakiramdam. I'm always gonna be grateful, and I'm sure ‘yung love nilang nabigay sa'kin, susuklian ko talaga ‘yun, hindi ako titigil mag trabaho nang mabuti.”

When asked about the lesson PBB has imparted to his life, Ralph De Leon said, "The biggest lesson I've learned talaga is to trust God's perfect timing... Mas napalapit ako to my faith here in the house, kasi when I can't run to anyone else with my problem, or my thoughts, who else better to go to diba? Grabe rin 'yung naging journey ko dito, na-evict na ako lahat-lahat tapos nakabalik ako and nakapasok pa ako ng Big 4, and all of that I feel is because of Him also.”

"Mas nag-open ‘yung mga doors for opportunities para sa'kin at para sa pamilya ko, at the same time, nung pumasok ako dito parang wala pa akong strength talaga masayado. Nung paglabas ko, masasabi ko talaga na strong na ako since napagdaanan na namin ‘yung hamon ni Kuya," Esynr said.

River also expressed his reaction after the internet labeled him as a green flag in this season: “Siyempre it's an honor to be called as a green flag. When it comes to pressure, wala masyado, kasi I guess throughout the season I just being myself, doing what I want to do. I guess moving forward, siyempre I'll have to be myself lang."

Before the presscon ended, the Head of ABS-CBN production and Star Magic, Direk Laurenti Dyogi, shared some meaningful words for the Kapamilya housemates, “I hope you all remain humble; minahal kayo ng tao, and sana yung pagmamahal na ‘yun, you keep that core memory...Hinding hindi kayo makakalimutan ng sambayanan dahil sa pinakita niyong samahan, at pagmamahal sa isa’t isa.”

An exciting event, The Big PBB Collab Concert: PBB Collove awaits all PBB fans as our favorite Kapamilya and Kapuso perform on one big stage on August 10 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

JESSY MENDIOLA RETURNS TO SHOWBIZ FOR SELF GROWTH

For this month's Star Magic Spotlight Presscon at Coffee Project, Wil Tower, Quezon City, Jessy Mendiola graced the event to discuss her much-anticipated showbiz comeback and share the latest updates from her career.

After a six-year break from the screen, Jessy Mendiola makes a grand return with a major project—the crime thriller mystery drama Sins of the Father, where she stars alongside Gerald Anderson, RK Bagatsing, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, and many more.

She shared her experiences during the presscon, including the adjustments she's currently going through as she steps back into the spotlight. “Mas-hinanda ko yung mind ko, hindi physical eh, kasi kahit naman nung kakapanganak ko lang kay Rosie, nag-alaga na rin talaga ako ng sarili ko. Yun nga, mind conditioning talaga when it comes to work,” Jessy said.

Having spent many years in the industry, Jessy has brought numerous characters to life. When asked which teleserye she’d love to remake, she revealed, “Siguro Maria Mercedes. Kapag binigay ‘yun sakin ngayon, feeling ko masmabibigay ko ng 100 percent yung emotions, yung sensuality, ... for me, mas malalim yung mabibigay ‘kong acting bilang Maria Mercedes, mas- mapapaganda ko pa.”

Aside from her acting comeback, Jessy also teased her exciting return to the ASAP stage, eager to showcase her dance moves and groove once again.

She expressed her enthusiasm going back to dancing, “Gusto kong maramdaman ulit na kahit mommy na ako, I still want to be comfortable with myself, with my body, kaya bumalik ako sa dancing.”

Having spent the past few years away from the camera to prioritize her family and her role as a mom, Jessy opened up about the changes and challenges she’s navigating as she returns, “It’s been super hectic kasi our show just started airing, and we’re still taping. Of course, yung mga promotions, guestings, events, tuloy tuloy na siya. You just really have to balance your time, and everything will fall into place.”

With her return, Jessy Mendiola says that she is determined to put herself—’Jessy’—at the forefront. It’s not merely a statement but a hint at the confident and strong presence she’s poised to share with audiences anew.

JAKE CUENCA SECURES SHOWBIZ LONGEVITY WITH TALENT

This July’s Spotlight event, held at Coffee Project, Wil Tower, Quezon City, featured an exciting lineup that included Jake Cuenca, who gladly kept everyone up to date about his recent activities and projects.

Currently appearing in the widely followed action-drama series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Jake shared insights on how he brings his character to life.

"I believe when you're an actor, it's a lot easier when you make a transformation. Once you change your body, whether it's a weight loss or weight gain, certainly everything else follows. You feel different, and then you will feel you're on your character.”

He also admitted that despite his long career in the industry, he still feels as though he’s just getting started, "I think what I realized about acting, in general, is that it takes twenty or thirty years to figure out acting. I am on my 23 years now, and I feel I just got started. I finally get it now."

Jake opened up not only about his latest projects, but also offered a peek into his personal life—sharing that Chie Filomeno was actually one of the minds behind his trending Miguelito Dance from FPJ's Batang Quiapo.

He shared, "I am not really a dancer, pero naalala ko si Chie, when we're hanging out, she kept doing this tiktok and ginawa ko s'ya (in the show). Literally in just two days, there's seventy thousand people doing the dance, and I have to thank Chie for that."

Even with all he’s accomplished in the industry, Jake believes there’s still plenty more ahead for him. He even expressed his interest in exploring new territory by trying his hand at theater.

"Definitely after these two projects I would like to do a film, but I think what I'd like to do immediately after this, is I have to do theatre again. After you do big projects like these, parang you wanna do something, like theatre, to ground you. And it helps me to reset,” Jake said.

For someone who has long cemented his place in Philippine showbiz, Jake remains as enthusiastic as a newcomer. He’s excited about the opportunities that still lie ahead—a sure sign that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

After their 15-stop “BINIverse World Tour”

BINI COMES HOME WITH “HERE WITH YOU” FAN MEET AT JAM-PACKED MOA ARENA

Fresh from their 15-stop “BINIverse World Tour,” the nation’s girl group BINI held a special homecoming with their beloved fans called BLOOMs through the jam-packed “Here With You” event at the MOA Arena.

An exclusive treat for BINI Global members, “Here With You” highlighted the girls’ experiences from their world tour–from tour bus anecdotes to favorite moments of BINI members Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.

“Aside from the concert, sobrang saya kasi hindi namin inakala na aside from Filipino BLOOMs, nakakita kami ng non-Filipino BLOOMs, and it just shows na our music crosses borders. Hindi ako makapaniwala na may international BLOOMs singing our songs. Sobrang grateful,” Maloi shared about their stop in London.

BINI performed “Cherry On Top,” “Zero Pressure,” 8,” “Out Of My Head,” and “Here With You” to the delight of their homecoming audience. About 100 BLOOMs also got to perform their tour single “Shagidi” live with the group.

Apart from the thrilling performances and fan surprises, the girls also donated a portion of sales from the BINI beanies, amounting to P362,453.50, to ABS-CBN Foundation via a ceremonial turnover ceremony.

The group likewise teased the audience about their upcoming makeup line called BINI Cosmetics and their exclusive tour BTS in the “BINIverse World Tour Stories” coming on iWant in September.

“Here WIth You: BINI Homecoming FanMeet” was hosted by Robi Domingo, Milo Elmido Jr., and Emilio Daez. It also featured pre-show performances from Zpectrum PH, Overheat, Kolette Madelo, Rain Celmar, and Jarren Garcia, and a special number from BINIkada.

STAR MAGIC ALL-STAR GAMES RETURN WITH BOTH NEW AND FAMILIAR STARS!

It was a full-court presscon at this month’s Star Magic Spotlight as a sporty lineup took center stage at Coffee Project, Wil Tower in Quezon City.

Held on June 23, 2025, the presscon featured Star Magic All-Star Games players Dylan Yturralde, Reign Parani, Jas Dudley-Scales, and Argel Saycon, who were all game to talk about their upcoming match-ups and what fans can expect when they hit the court this July 20 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This year’s All-Star game promises even more excitement, with a mix of fan-favorite athletes and fresh new faces gearing up for a day of thrilling, action-packed showdowns.

History is set to be made at this year’s Star Magic All-Star Games with the introduction of Men’s Volleyball—a first in the event’s storied run. Suiting up for Team Smashers is PBB Gen 11’s Dylan Yturralde, known as the “Astig Volleybae ng Pampanga.” With a strong background as a former setter for the University of the East, Dylan brings both skill and experience to the court. Fresh from his acting debut in Love at First Spike, he’s ready to bring the same fire and determination to the volleyball arena.

“Medyo kinakabahan ako na masaya. I’m blessed kasi siyempre first time magkaroon ng Men’s volleyball sa Star Magic games. Ang winiwish ko lang nung mga past years ay makapanood eh. Pero ngayon maglalaro na ako,” Dylan said.

He also talked about his role in Love at First Spike, saying, “Nung natanggap ko po yung role sobrang kabado talaga ako, kinekwenstyon ko pa sarili ko kung kaya ko ba...Pero ang unang nilapitan ko po ay mga batchmates ko sa PBB, sina D**g and Pat...Ayoko siya gawin ng basta- basta. Gusto ko siyang gawin ng maganda.”

Returning for her third All-Star Games appearance is Reign Parani, joining the roster of Team Lady Setters. A familiar face from PBB Season 8: Teen Edition, Reign balances life as a student and beauty queen—having been crowned 2nd Runner-Up in the 2023 Binibining Pilipinas. This year, she hits another major milestone as she takes on her first lead role in ‘Love at First Spike,’ starring opposite Emilio Daez.

“My third year na po [in the All-Star games]. Super saya po. Hindi lang body conditioning ‘yung ginagawa namin. It’s also a test of patience,” Reign shared.

She mentioned that Emilio Daez was her first love team, “We really put in extra effort to make it as authentic as possible...I really appreciate Emilio...hardworking po talaga siya. He really initiates first...he’s doing a lot of the work, he’s a really nice guy, madali lang siya katrabaho, super light, and super golden retriever energy.”

She also shared her thoughts about returning to pageantry. “I’m fairly young, 21. For pageant age, it’s still young. Pero now that I’m back in the showbiz industry, I’d like to focus muna on what I have now.”

Also representing Team Lady Setters is Jas Dudley-Scales, another standout from PBB Gen 11. Making her All-Star Games debut, Jas will bring her signature charm and vibrant personality to the court. Fondly known as the “Optimistic Ate ng Dumaguete,” she leads an adventurous lifestyle—and that same spirited energy makes her a player to watch.

“No one really starts na magaling. I’m learning, slowly. They’re all very helpful naman and very sweet.” Jas said about joining the All-Star games.

When Jas and Argel were asked if they’re open to working as a loveteam, following the online buzz surrounding their ‘ArJas’ duo, Jas shared, “Yes, it’s been comfortable din naman kasi we’re both Bisaya din and friends pa before. Wala naman problema.” Argel echoed the sentiment and agreed.

Representing the Basketball department in the highly anticipated rematch between Team Shooting Stars and Cong TV’s Team Payaman is Argel Saycon, best known from Pinoy Big Brother: Season 8 – Adult Edition. Now making his fourth All-Star Games appearance, Argel has successfully transitioned into acting, with an upcoming role in the indie film ‘Some Nights I Feel Like Walking.’ Renowned for his athleticism and dedication to fitness, he’s expected to be a key player and a dominant presence on the court.

“Ngayon na hahawakan ni Kuya Gerald—kasi alam namin kung paano siya magtraining, tinatawag namin siyang ‘Mamba mentality’ kasi grabe talaga ang passion niya sa basketball. Magkakaroon ka ng respeto sa disiplina niya,” Argel said.

He also talked about his upcoming film, saying, “Shinoot namin ‘yan 2023 pa. Naeexcite din ako kasi hindi ko pa napapanood. Kwento ito ng mga kabataan, mga hustlers talaga, so excited kaming mapakita ‘yun sa ibang tao para maintindihan natin sila.”

Adding even more star power to this year’s All-Star Games is a stellar lineup of beloved Kapamilya artists, including Gerald Anderson, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, BGYO’s Akira and JL, BINI’s Mikha Lim, and Donny Pangilinan—with many other appearances in store. JED MADELA GEARS UP FOR HIS BIRTHDAY CONCERT “SUPERHERO”

On June 23, 2025, Star Magic held its monthly Spotlight press conference at Coffee Project, Wil Tower, in Quezon City. Headlining the event’s featured artists for June was none other than the widely acclaimed Jed Madela—known to many as “The Voice” and “The Singer’s Singer.”

The presscon served as an engaging conversation about Jed Madela’s musical journey and the exciting projects he has in store for his fans. A key highlight was his upcoming birthday concert, “Superhero,” happening on July 5 at the Music Museum—an evening set to celebrate his milestones with a showcase of talent.

To prepare for this concert, Jed said, “I learn the songs by heart. And now that we’re doing this full concert talaga, siyempre yung endurance. I try to be more physically fit for the concert... even the production, I oversee everything.”

“Normally, I do concerts every July kasi it’s my birthday month. Something I do to give back and to give thanks to the people who have been supportive. What makes this year’s different is that every concert is an opportunity for me na magkwento ng mga nangyari for the past year.” Jed shared.

Aside from his much-anticipated concert, Jed invites fans to catch him on July 13 at the Birmingham Barrio Fiesta at Woodgate Valley Country Park. This will be followed by a performance at “Bravo Manila” on August 23 at The Theatre at Solaire—a celebration of Filipino musical excellence where he will share the stage with Bituin Escalante and Sofronio Vasquez.

Jed also shared his usual advice to young artists about giving a performance, “Number one, you have to be prepared. The reason why you get nervous, why you’re scared and you have jitters is when you’re not prepared.”

Adding to the excitement, Jed Madela is also set to release a new album under Star Music featuring fresh melodies and heartfelt lyrics that are sure to resonate with his loyal fans.

“What’s more important sa akin ngayon is ang laki pala ng impact ko sa tao. Lalong lalo na sa mga bagong artists ngayon. It's something I really want to pay forward,” Jed said.

He also talked about his passion aside from music: “I’m a toy collector. I’m also an art toy designer. I’m very active in the collectible industry. Kakatapos lang ng toycon 2025 and I was part of it. The latest one that I released was ‘VuDU Boy’, a self character I created in 2009... eventually evolved from a sketch to an actual art toy.”

From his powerhouse performances to his commitment to musical excellence, Jed Madela remains an icon on stage, inspiring audiences with his unmatched vocal talent and artistry.
