Anucha Shines in Wet-to-Dry Thriller to Win SB1 Pro at BRIC Superbike Opener
The premier class of the NEXZTER BRIC Superbike 2025 – Superbike 1,000cc (SB1 Pro) – delivered another gripping showdown as rain showers before the start turned the track into a true test of rider skill and adaptability.
Pole position for the race was claimed by rising star Thanat “Mix” Laongplio from Idemitsu Honda Team Christmas, joined on the front row by seasoned contenders Apiwath “Stamp” Wongthananon of East NJT Racing Team, and the experienced Anucha “Soup” Nakcharoensri from Pro Honda Bridgestone Andriani Bendix AN Racing Team.
The race began under wet conditions, gradually drying out as laps unfolded. That changing grip became the perfect stage for veteran Anucha to put on a masterclass in race management. Using his years of experience, he surged ahead to take a dominant win with a time of 20:59.156, finishing 26.701 seconds clear of second-placed Apiwath.
Jakkrikit “Ball” Swangsawat of Bike Story PTT Lubricants Yamaha Racing Team secured third place, crossing the line 32.346 seconds behind the winner. Meanwhile, pole-sitter Mix Thanat finished fourth, 50.062 seconds adrift.
In the SB2 class, Arithat “Benz Racing” Worrojcharoendej crossed the line eighth overall but claimed a well-earned third place on the SB2 podium.
The race highlighted the strategic depth required in unpredictable weather and set the tone for what promises to be a fiercely competitive season.
