๐Ÿšจ BREAKING: CHINA MAKES MAJOR MOVE TOWARDS AFRICA

China has officially announced plans to reduce tariffs on African imports to 0%, marking a significant shift in global trade dynamics.

This decision could open massive opportunities for African exports โ€” from natural resources to agricultural products โ€” giving African economies greater access to one of the worldโ€™s largest markets.

For decades, Africa has been positioned at the receiving end of global economics. Now, new partnerships are emerging โ€” and Africa is gaining leverage.

The real question is:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Will African nations use this opportunity to build long-term economic strength?

This is more than trade.
This is strategy.

A new Africa is rising ๐ŸŒ

Professor Peng Liyuanโ€™s Gift Transforms Healthcare in Sinazongwe

Expectant mothers and vulnerable groups in Sinazongwe now have access to high quality medical care following the handover of the Mutinta Hichilema Rural Health Centre. The facility, a generous gift from Chinaโ€™s First Lady Professor Peng Liyuan, has been equipped with 21 hospital beds, 3 delivery beds, and 10 bassinets to ensure comprehensive maternal care. By bringing clinical services directly to Siatwiinda Village, this Chinese supported initiative effectively eliminates the long 20 kilometre journey residents previously faced, ensuring that healthcare is a right, not a struggle, for the local community.

7,800 Jobs Coming to Kafue as 13 Chinese Firms Receive ZDA Licenses

Kafue is set for an economic boom following the ZDAโ€™s decision to license 13 Chinese investors for the Golden Baobab Multi Facility Economic Zone. With a combined investment of 195 million USD, these companies are ready to drive growth in the mining, construction, and energy sectors. ZDA Board Chairperson Professor Biemba Maliti noted that this development aligns perfectly with Zambiaโ€™s 8th National Development Plan for industrialisation. Beyond job creation, the zone will provide a ready market for local farmers and businesses to trade their goods and services.

Ambassador Han Jing Calls for Excellence in Zambia-China Infrastructure Projects

On March 27, 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Han Jing conducted a high-level inspection of the Tateyoyo-Katunda road project in Western Province. Accompanied by Counsellor Ye Boran and the project manager from China Geo Engineering Corporation, the Ambassador received a detailed progress brief before touring the construction site.

During the visit, Amb. Han urged Chinese companies to prioritize the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and strictly adhere to local laws. He emphasized that every project must be durable, safe, and cost-effective, serving as a symbol of the deep-rooted Comprehensive Strategic and Cooperative Partnership between China and Zambia.

The 87.3 km road, set for completion later this year, is expected to transform the commute between Lusaka and Mongu.

The 29แต—สฐ Chinese Military Medical Team deploys at Maina Soko Medical Centre, where they were formally introduced to hospital management and staff and familiarised with their operational environment. The introductions provided the team with a comprehensive understanding of hospital workflows, clinical areas, and patient care settings, ensuring that their support aligns seamlessly with the ongoing work of Zambiaโ€™s highly skilled medical professionals.

This deployment represents the highest form of international comradery, as China complements Zambiaโ€™s Defence Force by sending highly trained military medical specialists. While Zambian personnel continue to break records and set benchmarks in healthcare delivery, the Chinese teamโ€™s presence reinforces and supports their work, enhancing operational capacity and professional collaboration without replacing the excellence already demonstrated locally.

The team will be on tour of duty for twelve (12) months, after which they will hand over to the next rotation, sustaining a cycle of collaboration that strengthens both healthcare delivery and knowledge exchange. Hospital leadership expressed appreciation for the partnership, noting that it enhances patient care, facilitates learning, and further elevates the already high standards set by Zambiaโ€™s medical personnel.

Through this collaboration, the 29แต—สฐ Chinese Military Medical Team demonstrates a spirit of mutual respect, professional partnership, and shared commitment to saving lives, combining specialised expertise with Zambiaโ€™s exceptional healthcare capabilities to benefit patients and the wider community.
