WE ARE FINALLY GETTING BANS!! Here's what's coming in the next Wild Rift Patch 2.4 in the upcoming weeks! Do read the caption for a detailed analysis of each change/new champion and feature. (Patch is set to launch around 28th July)
New Champions:
Akshan: Going to mainly be a Mid/ADC or maybe a Baron laner in some cases. Think of him as a Lucian but with a different ability kit. He'll be extremely strong in solo queue thanks to him being reliant on kills and monkey fiesta teamfights.
Brand: Going to be Mid/Sup or maybe Jungle depending on his ability damage to monsters. He's extremely strong as a support to abuse and win lanes, and as a control mage, he is super strong in the tight teamfights that Wild Rift is very prone to.\
Nunu: Going to be a Jungler or Mid laner, his clear speed is extremely fast as a jungler and in mid he can roam across the map in 2s with his 2nd skill to impact the map early on.
Thresh: Only a support champion, but the most versatile one, being able to engage/look for picks/disengage with his skillset but is very reliant on the player being extremely good with the champion.
New Items:
Wit's End: Buy this as an on-hit champ vs AP heavy comps
Navori Quickblades: Buy this on champs that require spamming
certain basic skills (Tryndamere etc)
Essence Reaver: Buy this as a mana hungry ability spamming champion
Stormrazor: The best crit item to buy first if you're going to be buying RFC/Statik shiv
Serylda's Grudge: Armor pen item that replaces mortal reminder if you don't need the healing reduction
Solari Chargeblade: Buy this as a crit item if you aren't buying RFC/Statik
Crystalline Reflector: AP item for mages vs AD heavy teams
Banning System:
The last 3 people in the champion pick order in ranked will be able to ban 1 champion each. You will be able to signal to your team what champion you want to play before bans happen so they don't ban it.
Promotional series:
Are completely removed from the game and you will not have to play extra games to rank up to the next tier
Ranked reward skin - Glorious Lulu
There are many other quality of life changes and features but these are the things that I felt stood out the most :D
