To set the school year right, Grade 11 students attend orientation on Strengthened Curriculum

Grade 11 students of Tibag High School attended an early morning orientation on the Strengthened Curriculum today, June 16, held at the school’s covered area at 6:30 a.m

Deseree O. Galamay, Grade 11 Coordinator, discussed the salient features of the Strengthened Curriculum, emphasizing the adjustments made to better equip learners for the demands of senior high school. Meanwhile, School Principal May A. Avelino encouraged students to set clear goals for the new school year.

Teachers handling Grade 11 classes were introduced, and reminders on uniforms, class schedules, and proper behavior were also discussed.

The orientation aimed to help students start the school year informed and prepared.

- A final average grade of 85 or higher
- At least 85 in English and Filipino
- A passion for broadcasting, storytelling and journalism

March 27, 2025 -- With the collective efforts of its Administrative Officers, Ma’am Marjorie C. Tipay, Ma’am Ma. Amparo D. Dizon, Ma’am Erika Pauline D. 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚!

Bearing the theme “𝑆𝑎 𝑃𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑁𝑎𝑔𝑑𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑎𝑛, 𝑆𝑢𝑛𝑜𝑔 𝑎𝑦 𝑁𝑎𝑖𝑖𝑤𝑎𝑠𝑎𝑛”, the Bureau of Fire Protection raises awareness on prioritizing safety and held different contests for students to partake in. This year, Tibag High School has been recognized in the Tarlac City Fire Station Photo contest as 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟏 – 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐢 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝐍𝐃 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞.

In various display of talents and stories through photos, Mary Rose showcased the prowess of Tibag High School in the field of phtography.

With the guidance and assistance of her coach, Sir Edsel L. Natividad, and THS School Head, Dr. May Avelino, students get the chance to be actively involved in our community which inculcate values and lifelong learning.

To promote firm and ethical use of media, instill social consciousness, and hone journalistic skills to learners, Tarlac City Schools Division (TCSD) is currently having its 2-Day annual Press Conference at Tarlac Montessori School this January 23-24, 2025.

Anchored on Campus Journalism Act of 1991, TCSD gathers all young journalists from TSU Lab school, public, and private schools to participate in this journalistic endeavor bearing the theme “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬: 𝑁𝑢𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝐶𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑠 𝐽𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑚 𝑖𝑛 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑀𝐴𝑇𝐴𝑇𝐴𝐺 𝐶𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑙𝑢𝑚.”

To further inspire the audience, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Melissa S. Sanchez, PhD, CESO VI reminded that TCSD is known to its high caliber performance especially in journalism.

"𝑊𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑗𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑤𝑖𝑛 — 𝑡o 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑤𝑖𝑛." She added.

The Day 1 covers all group categories both in Filipino and English medium namely Radio broadcasting, TV Production, Collaborative Desktop and Online Publishing.

Meanwhile, the Day 2 covers all individual categories and the awarding ceremony.

The annual Gift-Giving Project organized by the Technology Livelihood Education (TLE) Department has once again given joy to School-Based Feeding Program recipients, their parents, and other selected students of Tibag High School morning of December 12, 2024 at THS School Grounds.

After the preliminaries, the program proceeded with a Parent Learning Support System in which Dr. Rebecca K. Sotto, the OIC – School Head, underscored the values of giving and nutrition.
“𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑏𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑠 𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑒. 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑦𝑜𝑛 𝑛𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑏𝑖𝑔𝑎𝑦 𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑙𝑜 𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑔-𝑎𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑙 — 𝐾𝑎𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑎 𝑖𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑤𝑎 𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑎𝑠𝑘𝑜.” she remarked.

As the program continues, Ma’am Evangeline V. Espiritu, the TLE Head Teacher I gave a short discussion on how parents can grow their own greens and prepare a balanced meal in every plate for them to improve the nourishment of their children.

As the organizers hands gift package to the students, their smiles reflect hope and happiness — wrapped and delivered. Furthermore, hearty and nutritious meals were also prepared for the recipients to enjoy.

A festive vibe delighted everyone when an alumnus in the person of Jay Mark P. Escano shared his blessings by giving additional food-packs.

“𝐷𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑖 𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑘𝑜 𝑠𝑎 𝑔𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝐹𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚, 𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑦𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑘𝑜 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑛𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑔𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑒. 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑘 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑜 𝑚𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑇𝐻𝑆 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑏𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑦 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦. 𝐼 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙.” He humbly shared.

A proof that Tibag High School does not only aim for excellence but more so, character building.

In addition, one of the twists of this year’s gift giving is the collaboration of the TLE and English department in which the latter conducted reading activities as part of their outreach program. This aims to help combat illiteracy among non-decoders and non-comprehenders, as well as to enhance the skills of independent learners.

Tales on Christmas gift-giving are centuries old, but wouldn’t it be nice to continue and lend a hand to make people feel the true meaning of yuletide season? Hence, with gratitude, THS extends its utmost appreciation to these modern-day wise men who are keeping the Christmas spirit alive by freely sharing their blessings from above.

After all, more than receiving, there is an unexplainable, ecstatic joy we feel in giving.
