As part of the pilot implementation of the ๐‘บ๐’•๐’“๐’†๐’๐’ˆ๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’๐’†๐’… ๐‘บ๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’๐’“ ๐‘ฏ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰ ๐‘บ๐’„๐’‰๐’๐’๐’ ๐‘ช๐’–๐’“๐’“๐’Š๐’„๐’–๐’๐’–๐’Ž, Tibag High School conducted its second orientation on the offered elective subjects for the Academic Track during the Second Semester of the S.Y. 2025โ€“2026 that was attended by Grade 11 teachers and students from 11-Socrates, 11-Chaucer, 11-Pacioli, and 11-Fibonacci.

โ€ŽDuring the session, Maโ€™am Deseree O. Galamay, the Grade 11 Coordinator, enlightened the students about the new set of elective subjects to be offered in the upcoming semester. She also emphasized the importance of aligning the chosen electives with the studentsโ€™ future college and career plans to ensure purposeful academic progression.

To strengthen disaster preparedness among students and staff, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (๐’๐ƒ๐‘๐‘๐Œ) Team of Tibag High School, led by School Head Dr. May A. Avelino, and SDRRM Asst. Chairperson Joel Madayag, successfully conducted its Earthquake Drill on October 21, 2025.

The drill, participated by both morning and afternoon shifts, aimed to train the school community in responding effectively to potential emergencies especially earthquake.

Tibag High School Joins DTI Tarlacโ€™s Consumer Welfare Month Contests

Tibag High School participated in the DTI Tarlac Provincial Officeโ€™s Consumer Welfare Month (CWM) activities held on October 3, 2025, at the Capitol Center Roof Deck, San Vicente, Tarlac City.

Representing the school in the CWM Consumer Quiz Bee was Seanree Medina, coached by Ms. Deseree O. Galamay. CJ Lee A. Ordoรฑa, under the guidance of Mr. Luciano Maniti, showcased his creativity in the CWM Poster Making Contest, where he successfully landed in 10th place.
Both events carried the theme โ€œBida ang Konsyumer sa Bagong Pilipinas.โ€

Meanwhile, Willy N. Cabenta Jr. will join the spoken poetry contest on October 17.

These contests aimed to promote consumer awareness, creativity, and active participation among students from both public and private schools in the province.

Tibag High School โ€“ To ensure the health and wellness of the School-Based Feeding Program recipients, some US Medical students connected to Rise and Rebuild International Foundation conducted a free health check-up at Tibag High School on October 6. 2025.

7 students from the University of Utah conducted interview from the SBFP beneficiaries that covers basic health assessment. They were assisted by the RRIF Field Coordinator, Sonny Layug and RRIF Nutrition Education Manager, April Rose Adao.

Tibag High School Principal Dr. May A. In pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 064, s. 2025 otherwise known as the Implementing Guidelines for the ๐€๐œ๐š๐๐ž๐ฆ๐ข๐œ ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐€๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  (๐€๐‘๐€๐‹) ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ for Key Stages 1 to 3, Tibag High School leads the Kick-Off Ceremony morning of September 15, 2025 at Tibag High School covered area with the intention of promoting literacy through tutorial sessions.

To aid assistance to 517 struggling students, THS included 35 teacher-tutors; still, the school also encourages parents and guardians to give follow-up and to work hand in hand in combating illiteracy among ARAL tutees.

๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ โ€” To promote first-hand experience on public service and leadership, the Rotary Club of Central Tarlac (RCCT) with the help of STI Colleges, organized New Generations Week 2025 competition among 36 Grade 10 students in Tarlac City in which Pricilla V. Pacheco of Tibag High School was proclaimed as the incoming Youth City Mayor to assume a post for a week.

There are fifteen selected students who will be taking roles as City Mayor, Vice Mayor, Councilors, and Sangguninang Leaders from September 15 to September 19, 2025. They are set to experience civic participation, community involvement, and executive and legislative procedures in person.

In another quest to bridge literacy gap, Tibag High School rolls out the DepEd Project ARAL highlighting Reading in pursuant to Republic Act (RA) 12028 or An Act Establishing an Access to Resources for Alternative Learning (๐€๐‘๐€๐‹) Program led by its principal, Dr. May A. Avelino, morning of August 15, 2025, at THS covered area.

Through the help of language teachers, THS determined 517 Frustrated students and 21 non-decoders that may benefit from the newly established ARAL Program - Reading. These selected learners have scheduled tutorial sessions with 35 teacher- tutors using the TCSD Project Rescue materials.

Approximately 80 parents and guardians attended the orientation given by Dr. Ana Marie DC. Mercado, English HT-III. She discussed about the importance of inculcating the values of reading and why parents are partners in this new endeavor. In addition, the schedule of ARAL tutorials was emphasized.

The SPTA President, Jovelyn Navarro, communicated the plans laid out by the SPTA and LGU of Brgy. Tibag on the possible help they may extend such as free snacks to ARAL tutees attendees.

An open forum was conducted to give way for parentsโ€™ queries regarding the implementation, and mostly gave positive impression on this.

Project ARAL โ€“ Reading will set to begin on August 26, 2025, with the intentions of opening new chapters of hope to struggling readers and combat the alarming problems on illiteracy.

To gear up Tibag High Schoolโ€™s potential TV broadcasters, Ms. Ellana Lourdes N. Wage, a BA Communication student and a former intern of ABS CBN News, shared her expertise through a training-workshop at THS Library afternoon of August 7,2025.

Participants were engaged with activities such as scriptwriting, delivery, and basic know-hows on the technical aspect.
