Natahlia pays tribute to the brave tahine, that paved the way for women’s rugby. The sacrifices made by legends of the game, only allowed for the game to grow the way it has.

YDP welcome their first female guest on the pod. Erikana Pederson-Baledrokadroka now a veteran mid-courter shares the high and lows of her career. Recalling the words of her family that would keep her grounded throughout.
From her journey as a young passionate netballer, a high school senstation quickly climbing the ranks in NZ Netball. To eventually making her debut for the Silver Ferns. Despite stepping away from the game for a second time in 2022, we could see Erikana back on the court again very soon.

Despite missing out on World Cup selection this year for Manu Samoa, he is truly grateful for the opportunities he’s been afforded to play at the highest level. Unsigned for 2024, some uncertainty hangs over his career. But he remains optimistic. Staying grounded in his faith and the values his parents installed in his upbringing.
