Our latest community podcast episode has arrived, check it out with the link below.

We were missing our guest due to a last minute delivery of covid19 vaccines! So Cllr Beccy Cooper puts on her Public Health Consultant hat and answers key questions about our current situation. We hear that we have the power to protect ourselves, what the highest risk is, how we can and should go outside, the potential 'new normal' of infection control, and how understanding the facts helps reduce the fear.

In our Christmas listen, we speak to two special guests, Cllr Henna Chowdhury and Tshepo Skwambane, about the online responses to the Sainsbury's Christmas advert. Henna and Tshepo also talk about their own experiences of racism and how they think things are going in Worthing.
There is also our discussion of all things Coronavirus and our reasons to be hopeful for 2021.

Christmas can often be a tricky time in the best of years, but this year brings additional challenges. If you need to talk to anyone, here are some handy numbers:

Sussex Mental Healthline 0300 5000 101
Samaritans 116 223 (24 hour confidential support)

If you are known to mental health services and need urgent support, contact your care coordinator

Wishing you a very healthy and safe Christmas, and a hopeful 2021 from the Shed Some Light team x
