Part 2 of most recent Nosara Civic Association NP episode:
0-1: NCA promotes conservation in Nosara, they do not cover every single aspect of life here. They help protect it from environmental standpoint. They understand people are going to gossip & such, but they recommend people go to specific sources for accurate information per subject & invite people to take action & will direct them to other organizations or help coordinate others to help. But NCA is environment org.
1: Rich rants about everyone coming into or involved in Nosara should be part of the solution, & people should stop gossiping &/or typing online & instead take action whether it is a tiny donation of time &/or $ or big donation of time &/or $. Action is what Nosara needs more than anything
2: Nosara Ton. Rich is confused why people like running. Luis explains Del Mar Academy has done terrific job with event & is making great progress each year.
3: Somos Nosara’s purpose & event are both fantastic. People should check this out & get behind it there is huge areas for improvement & has momentum.
4: Rich rants about bridging cultures & is pleasantly shocked Somos Nosara making such great progress. Their event had over 400 people between community & various organizations & uniting many groups including police, Red Cross, local schools all want an improved Nosara town
5-8: Nosara Corridor speak begins. Thanks to Radl family Finca Montaña starting epic way Nosara can remain protected forever! Land owners can donate land which will go back into government protected areas for perpetuity & this has nothing to do with NCA lawsuit stuff
9: NCA lawsuit discussion begins…

Part 1 of a candid conversation w/the Nosara Civic Association (NCA) about everything from Pelada evictions to the Nosara Corridor & everything in between, as of end of high season 2026.
Part 1 is:
0-2: Traffic complaints & such
2-4: Challenging stuff, social media & Nosara Gossip Machine, people complaining about different things whenever something happens, NCA understands list is big & also they are environment organization not people organization per se
5: Mainly Rich fussing about Nosara Gossip Machine cross-pollinating arguments inaccurately hurts the greater good. Ex: Pelada eviction anger misdirected
6-8: NCA has no connection to anyone trying to develop the reserve, NCA doesn’t want to evict, people can talk to SINAC, Courts, Judges & learn the processes before misdirecting anger
9: Promoting conservation in Nosara is NCA purpose

Friday, April 17th go to the concert & raffle + activities event to help & have TON of fun!! This is one of the fastest ways to support local public schools & whether you’re living here full time or just visiting it makes sense to have wonderful night of music, food & fun via raffles & activities booths for entire family.
At 6pm the After Surf Band kicks things off & 7pm the Quebrada’s seriously bring the fun for rest of evening. Get out & support this event if you’re in town you will not regret it :)

Max & Angel are at it again! These guys keep progressing & check out their newest presentation at GONA. Get to GONA before April 18th to see their work Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Here’s synopsis in Max’s words:

“We’re introducing the work we’ve been curating over the past year - together and individually- interweaving a shared theme through different lenses.
Miradas (Gazes) is born from the desire to better understand what surrounds us, and what we feel within.
In the work of Maxime Viellard, the gaze turns inward. His figures speak through the body and the eyes. In every gesture, there is emotion: vulnerability, desire, strength, doubt. These are intimate moments, suspended in time. When you look at them, they look back at you.
For Ángel Lara, the gaze is directed outward. His sculptures are inspired by the fauna and flora of Nosara, the place he now calls home. Each piece reflects the life, energy, and natural beauty of this land. His work is born from love and a deep connection to the territory.
These two ways of seeing meet and complement one another:
one turns inward, the other outward.
One explores human emotion; the other celebrates the natural world around us.
Miradas is an invitation to observe more closely: our inner world, our environment, and the profound relationship between them.
This exhibition seeks to move, captivate, and inspire.
As artists, Maxime and Ángel are deeply committed to bringing more art into Nosara, nurturing creativity, fostering collaboration, and supporting shared creative spaces.”
