Police are searching for a man who broke into the home of an elderly couple while they slept early Tuesday morning on Coldwater Road in Inez. According to Chief Deputy Chris Kidd of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the couple’s daughter reported the home invasion after the fact, explaining that her parents were too terrified to call 911 during the ordeal. “They were scared and didn’t know what to do,” Kidd said. “Their daughter showed me a Ring doorbell image of the intruder, which I immediately shared with other law enforcement.” The suspect, quickly identified as 50-year-old Rondal Endicott Jr. of Inez, was caught on surveillance footage arriving at the property around 2:45 a.m.

Around 6:45 a.m., Endicott entered the house through the front door. The couple were startled awake by the sight of a shadow moving through their living room and into the back bedroom.

“The female victim said Endicott crawled into her husband’s bed and completely covered himself with the sheets and blankets,” said Kidd. “After a verbal exchange, he jumped up and ran out the front door.”

Security footage captured Endicott leaving the house, saying something unintelligible before darting across the yard and onto Coldwater Road, where he disappeared.

A warrant has been issued for Endicott’s arrest. Kidd is urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the sheriff’s office or dial 911.

On Monday October 7th 2024, Steve Romines attorney for Michael K McKinney III filed a motion in the Amber Spradlin murder case for the Commonwealth to produce the full polygraph report of Roy Kidd.

Kidd agreed to a polygraph with his attorney present on 6-28-23 after inconsistent and misleading statements to KSP investigators the day after the murder. The Commonwealth and KSP has yet to provide the full polygraph report to counsel for McKinney. According to discovery provided to Romines, Roy Kidd “failed” the polygraph as to every question asked including whether he himself stabbed Amber Spradlin.

In the motion Romines says “The disclosure of the full report is
necessary to ensure a fair trial and to allow the defense to properly
evaluate all the evidence related to Roy Kidd’s involvement, as Kidd
is the essential witness in the prosecution.

A location for the trial of the three men charged in connection to the 2015 murder and disappearance of Crystal Rogers has been set to Warren County, Kentucky.

That’s according to documents dated Monday from the Nelson County Circuit Court. Brooks William Houck, Steven Eugene Lawson, and his son Joseph L. Lawson have appeared in court throughout this investigation. The father-son duo was in court on Friday, where the future trial location was down to Warren County or Christian County.

Houck is being charged for Crystal Rogers 2015 disappearance and presumed murder and Steven and Joseph Lawson are being charged with complicity to murder and tampering with evidence.
