°° TCC's FIRST VIDEO OF 2025 - BREAKING DOWN THE 2ND HALF OF BATTLE OF ROBOTS QUALIFIERS °° Despite TCC's holiday pause, the world of robot combat across the pond sure hasnt quit! We've seen the XR European Championships, we're even currently watching MechMania on Mech+, but the stakes are nowhere higher or deadlier in Europe or Asia than at Battle of Robots! Battle of Robots, the spiritual successor to Bitva Robotov introduced the world of robot combat to numerous new and returning heavyweights from Russia, India, Belarus, China, and even Brazil... As all of these robots return for the 6 million ruble prize on the table with 2 Qualifier events, the first we covered a couple months back - one which featured the likes of Honey Badger, Turbo Masha, and Iron Scrap °°

°° TCC has already take peaks at NHRL, RoboGames, and Battle of Robots in 2024 - but now it feels well overdue for us to dive into the European Live Tours.... Especially given how much they've upped their game this year. Robots Live is doubling their tour dates with the announcement of MechMania, but first we focus on EXTREME ROBOTS who themselves have boosted their tour with the return of the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - a proper Finals Event for Extreme Robots! The event would be accepting qualifiers from all of the Extreme Robots stops this year, the first of which was in DONCASTER last April at the Doncaster Dome! °°

°° Its been a loaded year in the world of Robot Combat with NHRL firing on all cylinders & numerous heavyweight events popping up all over the US West Coast + Europe! Perhaps though no specific region has grown more this year than Russa with Battle of Robots... As following their succesful 2023 championship, the up & coming robot combat championship put their eyes on world domination with their 2nd event being a 10 Country World Championship named "THE BATTLE OF ROBOTS SUPERFINAL" - a presentation by both BoR and the World Future Games. °°

°° Battle of Robots, the spiritual successor to Bitva Robotov introduced the world of robot combat to numerous brand new nations at this event such as Bolivia, Belarus, the UAE among others while also establishing numerous strong regions such as Russia, India, and of course China. °° Announced by OYES Robotics & their entertainment company Robot Rampage this weekend, the team's demonstration arena will be the host to it's first ever event on the 5th & 6th of October, and will be the first ever to feature a heavyweight competition in New Zealand/Oceana's history! °°

°° The competition will host a 16 robot Full-Combat Featherweight Tournament, likely featuring some of the most prominent 30lbers NZ & AU have to offer, but the main course will most certainly be the Sportsman Class Heavyweight Tournament - with a limit of 8 robots competing. All robots are going to be approved by the Robot Rampage team ahead of time & as the Sportsman rules imply - will not feature kinetic energy weaponry. This means former Battlebots Champion END GAME will likely not be competing, but it's sibling - the 2019 Robot Ruckus winner Krusty Krab likely will be... Marking it's first time in action in almost half a decade. °° Signups are available on RobotRampage.co.nz & are first come first serve. °°

TCC IS LIVE AGAIN THIS WEEKEND WITH 2 BIG LIVE STREAMS ON THE 19TH AND 20TH! °° It is a HUGE weekend for the world of robot combat - as the 2024 rendition of RoboGames kicks off in San Jose, NHRL runs their 3rd Qualifier at CT this year on Saturday, and Extreme Robots kicks off their road to the European Championship across the pond! With so many events happening around the world, The Combot Collective is here to bring you everything you want to know LIVE! °°

°° Tomorrow on the 19th of April at 4PM PST/6PM CST, The Combot Collective will be going LIVE for a rare evening stream - making up for RoboGames lack of stream this year with a special show highlighting RG Robots, Results, and the Bracket for the weekend's big event! On Saturday bright and early at 7AM CST/8AM EST will be our 3rd edition of BEFORE THE HAVOC and as always we'll go over storylines & robots to watch for in each class + make some predictions! SEE WHO THE BEST ROBOT IN THE WORLD IS! °° With Battlebots All Star Week in full-swing, Extreme Robots kicking off next week and RoboGames 2024 just over 24 hours away, we are on the preceface of another amazing Heavyweight season of Robot Combat - ready to drop into another year of phenomenal fights... But before you get there, The Combot Collective is here to wrap up their 2023 TCC 100 List, a list showcasing the 100 best 250lb/HW robots in the sport from last year according to the TCC Overall Rankings System! °°

°° We kicked this series off with robots such as Robot Wars winner Apollo and RoboGames legend Original Sin in Part #1, we then moved to the meat of the list with robots like RotatoR, Behemoth, and Black Dragon in Part #2... But now just like with Battlebots, we have our OWN Top 32 of the best fighting heavyweights from all around the world - From USA to Canada to China to New Zealand all the way back to the UK. This list features multiple undefeated robots from 2022, numerous fan favorites, and of course champions from events such as Battlebots & Battle of Robots! °° Announced via Russian social media platform VK on April 16th, Battle of Robots 2024 will be featuring for the first time ever: a Brazilian superteam featuring Team Riobotz alongside select members of Uai!rrior, unifying forces to make Team Brazil - The first ever team from their country to compete in the mainline Battle of Robots Championship. This news comes while both teams have been together in the USA, with Minotaur at Battlebots Proving Grounds and Black Dragon at RoboGames. °°

°° More news would drop on the 17th with Battle of Robots revealing the team's robot: SCRAP - a likely updated version of Big Carioca, a 2WD Vertical Spinner built by Victor Souza for King of Bots II all the way back in 2019. Big Carioca showed big power but mimimal durability when it went 1-2 vs Storm Cut, Black Rabbit, and MegaByte °°
