Well, it's been a fun few years but it's time to call it quits. The last issue of Cockroach has been released and I'm moving on to focus my energy on other projects.

Recommendations for similar zines that also pay for content that I can send my contributors to would be greatly appreciated.

The Winnipeg Vegan Handmade Market is going to be run by another group of people. I'll keep this page live for another few months until I have contact details for them and can publicly post that.

Oh I've been so quiet over here. My apologies! I'm figuring out how to run Cockroach in a way that isn't too taxing to my injured brain. And I think I've figured it out!

Cockroach will be taking a more collaborative approach with contributors in 2019.

Feel free to leave comments on any of the documents inside this folder to help me solidify my new direction.

Also, the 2019 themes are listed in the "info" doc. DM me your email and I can officially get you on the contributor list.

Another change I'm considering making is having contributors from each issue group edit. I'd put all the articles into a Google Drive folder and whoever was interested could go through to make spelling / grammatical changes, give feedback, ask questions, etc. With this more collaborative approa...

I'd love to be able to give Cockroach away for free, but a girl's gotta pay her bills, pay her contributors and pay for the odd little vegan cake. However, all the anti-capitalist talk on Vegan Warrior Princesses Attack has got me re-thinking how I behave in this capitalist society.

I've decided to take a new approach to selling Cockroach in order to make it more accessible. It's currently available via Patreon for $1 to $9 a month, with bonuses for those who are able to pay more. When I get the energy, I'll also be changing the Etsy prices to a pay-what-you-can model.

At tomorrow’s Helena Farmers' Market, I’ll have design your own magnets for the first time!!! Of course, I’ll still bring along supplies to make pinback buttons.

I’m saving up my magnet pieces for everyone who wants to make their own, so magnets by me won’t be available for another couple weeks.
