Salvation is a gift from God. Gifts have to be accepted, gifts are free. If they have to be earned then it is no longer a gift. The gift of salvation is yours if you want it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sin has consequences, there is no doubt about that. The Bible says that "For the wages of sin is death..." but there is hope my friend. If you keep reading Romans 6:23, it says "but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord". 💕⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We all deserve punishment for our sins. The first step is admitting that we are sinners and in need of a Saviour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The amazing news is that although we have all sinned and fallen short, we are saved by His grace. He bore our sins that we might live for righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If someone were to ask you the question "if you were to die today, would you go to heaven?", what would your answer be? 🤔⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Would it be "I think so" or "Yea, I've been a pretty good person"?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Did you know that there is truly nothing you can do to earn your way to heaven and only God is good (Luke 18:19)? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." 🌿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are all sinners and therefore, deserve to pay the punishment for that sin. The Bible says "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Doing good things cannot save us, we are bound to eternal punishment. But thankfully, the Good News is that Jesus died to pay for the punishment of our sins. For if we choose to believe on Him, eternal life is in Jesus Christ, our Lord.
