Fabulous night of comedy tonight at Robert Harris in Rolleston with Bec Sandy. Great to see locals still being able to enjoy themselves with a bit of a laugh in these uncertain times. Keep an eye out on the Robert Harris Rolly page for more events like this in the future.

Hi Everyone, if you or your kids are looking for something to do over lockdown, why not create some content for Positively Selwyn. I could be a short story, an interview with a parent or sibling or an original song. Just record it in mp3 using a phone or other recording device and send it in to me and I’ll put it onto the station. You can listen in at www.positivitynz.radio and click on the Selwyn link. Start off by telling us your name where in Selwyn you are from ie Rolleston, Lincoln, Kirwee etc and what it is you are going to share. Try and keep it to no longer than 3 - 4 mins max if you can. Not all submissions will be able to play on air but I’ll let you know why if it can’t and what you might need to change. Submissions can be emailed to [email protected]

Congratulations to the very talented cast and crew at Kirwee Players. I had the pleasure of seeing the production of Westside Story on Friday night. Was a long time in the making but worth the payoff in the end. Kirwee will be putting on a play later in the year so keep an eye out for details on their page.

Had the pleasure of attending the Nathan Phillips Vocals and Elite Studios Pitch evening on Thursday. Some amazing local talent singing their heart out at Larcombs Vineyard. Selwyn has loads of great singers and opportunities for them to perform and I look forward to seeing where these guys end up.

So there is some great new content on the station from Today, you can hear all about how to look after Rhododendrons, get some wise advise from a Yoga instructor or listen to the kids from Kirwee players talk about the Lion King which finished last weekend but had sold out Audiences after being postponed due to Covid 19.

Positively Selwyn was at the Annual Lincoln High School Musical Showcase tonight. Lots of amazingly talented kids performing their hearts out. Well done to everyone involved.
