I like to think that I watch a lot of comedy , definitely invests a lot in bringing us a lot of it. I have had a feeling for a long time at least for probably close to a decade that a lot of stand up specials are not very funny anymore , don't get me wrong a lot of them are good and fun and offer you a good chuckle, but in more recent times the best stand ups have been more thought provoking than funny , even to me is more thought provoking than funny and I definitely look forward to watching any of his shows when they come out they are unmissable, I also enjoy the humanity breakdown that offers as well, However, I don't believe I have laughed out loud while watching a special since , days and Trevor Noah's African American until now, while I have seen other specials from in the past which were good like and I also liked how he differentiated his stand up with graphic and visuals, kind of what maybe inspired the show which I was also a fan of and was disappointed when it ended. This new special is the best I have seen in a very long time, the perfect mixture of thought-provoking and funny, I must say I could also be led by bias , I do consume quite a bit of his content already and a lot of the topics he covered on the special are things we talk about a lot on the but even his older specials did not give me anything close to the way I felt after watching this, is best work so far in my opinion and I don't feel like it's getting the mainstream review and coverage it deserves , I am not even seeing social media commentary or debates about it , as good as it was it's not above some criticism , one could say he tried to lean into a more edgy and shocking lane just a little bit which seems a bit out of character for him unless he is jabbing at politicians but he didn't over do it , maybe my algorithm is limited and that's why I don't see the coverage it's getting ,I myself only heard about it on
