We have been watching an area of Low pressure in the Gulf for the last few days. Today, Tropical depression Two has formed. Radar indication from Mexico shows a well-defined circulation in the bay of Campeche.

Good news for us, is this is moving West-Northwest and will not have landfall in Texas. HOWEVER, expect some moisture to make it's way up to San Antonio.

The National Hurricane Center flagged an area in the Gulf for possible development. It’s important to note that any chance of a development is low. The NHC has put odds of development at 20% over the next seven days.

The Pacific has had an active start to the season. They have already gone through 5 names with the latest being Hurricane Erick making landfall earlier this week. As of now, there is the first tropical development for the Atlantic. Good news, it is only a 10% chance and will go into the central Atlantic. Not having any impact to the US
