Body of 4 year old boy found:

The body of a 4-year-old boy was found Sunday after flooding tore through a huge portion of Texas. The Johnson County (Texas) Sheriff’s Office says the tragic circumstances began in the early morning hours Sunday. About 2 AM. Deputies reported a family of three was stranded in their car in high water in Burleson Texas, just south of Fort Worth. The parents and young boy escaped the car to try to make it to safety but the family was then swept into raging flood waters. Rescue teams found the parents, Arron and Chelsey Warren later that morning and they were transported to the local hospital, but the body of little Lucas Warren, was only found a few hours later.

After days of rain, water rescues are still occurring on a large scale (into the hundreds) across Southeast Texas. Photos show the devastation so many families have faced in this crisis. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of young Warren as well as other community members who will be starting at ground zero to rebuild their lives.

In all of the devastation occurring in our surrounding communities love still triumphs! A group of amazing people went out to feed, pray, listen and offer support to some of the families who have lost so much. The loss is great but as one man said it’s the time for us as a community to rise above this together. A huge Thank you is in order for dominoes pizza, little Caesar’s pizza, Baileys BbQ, Shipley donuts, Erin Grace, Stacy Renee, Kim Cabrera as well as all of the people who donated clothes, water, snacks etc and Hope Church (Brad Dancer!). You all brought Hope in some of these people’s darkest hours, thank you for all you do!
