Dua (Supplication)
☆ Dua means to beseech, cry to and invoke.
☆ It is used to call out to Allah.

Dua - Anxiety and sorrow

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

O Allah, I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men (i.e. others).

Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal'ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal.

Eid Mubarak!

May Allah accept our ibadah, supplications, and sacrifices during the blessed days of Eid al-Adha.

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

Shahr bin Hawshab said:
“I said to Umm Salamah: ‘O Mother of the Believers! What was the supplication that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said most frequently when he was with you?” She said: ‘The supplication he said most frequently was: “O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion (Yā Muqallibal-qulūb, thabbit qalbī `alā dīnik).’” She said: ‘So I said: “O Messenger of Allah, why do you supplicate so frequently: ‘O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.’ He said: ‘O Umm Salamah! Verily, there is no human being except that his heart is between Two Fingers of the Fingers of Allah, so whomsoever He wills He makes steadfast, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.’”

Dua - When one's affairs have become difficult

اللّٰهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلَ إِلاَّ مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً

O Allah, there is no ease other than what You make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.

Allaahumma laa sahla illaa maa ja'altahu sahlan wa Anta taj'alul-hazna 'ithaa shi'ta sahlan.

Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (no. 2427), and Ibn As- Sunni (no. 351).​

Surah Ghafir - 40:44

وَاُفَوِّضُ اَمۡرِيْٓ اِلَى اللّٰهِؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَصِيۡرٌۢ بِالۡعِبَادِ‏

and I entrust my affair to Allah . Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants."

Dua - Protection of Insect stings

Whoever recites this:

أَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

I take refuge in Allaah's perfect words from the evil He has created.

'A'oothu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaqa.

…three times in the evening will be protected from insect stings.

Dua- When leaving the home #1

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّٰهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ
Translation:
In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah.

اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ میں نے اللہ پر بھروسہ کیا اور اللہ کی توفیق و مدد کے بغیر کسی گناہ سے بچنے کی طاقت اور کوئی نیکی کرنے کی قوت نہیں

Dua - When leaving the home #2

اَللّٰـهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ، أَوْ أُضَلَّ، أَوْ أَزِلَّ، أَوْ أُزَلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ، أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ، أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ
Translation:
O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I misguide others, or I am misguided by others, lest I cause others to err or I am caused to err, lest I abuse others or be abused, and lest I behave foolishly or meet with the foolishness of others.

اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ میں آتا ہوں کہ میں گمراہ ہوجاؤں یا گمراہ کردیا جاؤں، یا میں پھسل جاؤں یا پھسلادیا جاؤں یا میں ظلم کروں یا مجھ پر ظلم کیا جائے یا میں کوئی جہالت(کا کام)کروں یا مجھ پر جہالت (کا کام) کیا جائے۔

Dua- Upon entering the home

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللّٰهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Translation:
In the Name of Allah we enter, in the Name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we depend

اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ ہم داخل ہوئے اور اللہ
کے نام کے ساتھ ہی ہم باہر نکلے اور ہم نے اپنے پروردگار اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کیا۔

Then say As-Salaamu 'Alaykum to those present.

Abu Dawud 4/325. Muslim 2018 states that one should mention the Name of Allah when entering the home and when beginning to eat; and that the devil, hearing this, says: 'There is no shelter for us here tonight and no food.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ
Bismillaahi

Translation :
In the Name of Allah.

وضو سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد کیا پڑھے​

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ

Ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa 'ash-hadu 'anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasooluhu.

Translation:
I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

❞میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی سچا معبود نہیں وہ اکیلا ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ یقینا محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں۔❝

Dua - Upon completing the ablution #2

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِيْ مِنَ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِيْنَ

A llaahummaj'alnee minat-tawwaabeena waj'alnee minal-mutatahhireen.

Translation:
O Allah, make me among those who turn to You in repentance, and make me among those who are purified.

❞اے اللہ مجھے بہت زیادہ توبہ کرنے والوں میں سے بنادے اور مجھے بہت زیادہ پاک رہنے والوں میں سے بنادے۔❝

Dua - Upon completing the ablution #3

سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْكَ

Subhaanaka Allaahumma wa bihamdika, 'ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta, 'astaghfiruka wa 'atoobu 'ilayk

Translation:
Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.

❞اے اللہ تو اپنی تعریف کے ساتھ پاک ہے ، اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی سچامعبود نہیں، میں تجھ سے بخشش طلب کرتا ہوں اور تیری طرف توبہ کرتا ہوں۔❝

Dua - To someone wearing a new garment #1

تُبْلِي وَيُخْلِفُ اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى

Tublee wa yukhliful-laahu ta'aalaa.

Translation:

May you wear it out and Allaah (Ta'aala) replace it [with another]

تو اسے بوسیدہ کرے اور اللہ تعالی اس کے بعد تمہیں مزید عطا فرمائے

Dua - To someone wearing a new garment #2

اِلْبَسْ جَدِيْدًا وَعِشْ حَمِيْدًا وَمُتْ شَهِيدًا

Ilbas jadeedan, wa 'ish hameedan, wa mut shaheedan.

Translation:

Wear anew, live commendably and die a shaheed.

تم نیا کپڑا پہنو، قابل تعریف زندگی گزارو اور شہید ہوکر فوت ہو۔

Dua - For fear of shirk

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لاَ أَعْلَمُ

O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I associate anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I know not.

Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika 'an 'ushrika bika wa 'anaa 'a'lamu, wa 'astaghfiruka limaa laa 'a'lamu.
