“You don’t just stare at an empty canvas and expect a masterpiece to exhibit on its own. You don’t just stare at an empty sheet of paper or at a blank document of your computer and expect a multitude of words make their way in writing an incredible write-up. No. Art doesn’t come easy. It requires certain amount of time, patience, hard work, and perseverance.
Being an artist or a writer doesn’t happen overnight. It doesn’t happen all at once. It comes from showing up day after day to learn, to grow, and to keep getting better. You’d definitely work for it—earn it and seize it.
Keep reminding yourself that tomorrow and the day after it, you’ll be practicing again in making your own art. Keep making it. Keep doing it. Because art is our one of a kind way of living.”
— Julius Allen, “What It Means to be a Writer”
