We are very happy to share the new album by Gothenburg trio Amateur Hour with you!

Since the bands 2016 debut Amateur Hour has been blending dreamy pop melodies with screeching feeback and malfunctioning industrial soundscapes, and the new album ”Går I Kras” is no exception. Picking up where the band left on their 2022 album ”Krökta Tankar Och Brända Vanor” the new album shows a bit more focused songwriting, catchier melodies but with the sort of nastiness & experimental touch that make this band BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BAND intact.

The artwork by Simba Sinkkonen ties it all together beautifully & the best album of 2025 is a fact!

We also re-release their both previous LPs, that are both sold out since long.

We are really proud to announce our 3rd (and 4th and 5th) Appetite release:

Amateur Hour - Krökta Tankar Och Brända Vanor 2LP

”Krökta Tankar Och Brända Vanor” is the first proper release by Gothenburg’s Amateur Hour since 2019’s ”Framtiden Tillhör Inte Oss”. Julia, Hugo & Dan are no strangers in the Gothenburg Underground scene, and have performed in acts such as Westkust, Sewer Election, Enhet För Fri Musik, Makthaverskan & Oroskällan.

This album stays true to the Amateur Hour formula, a mix of dreamy indie pop and harsh industrial soundscapes, all held together with wobbly tape loops and no-fi production.
If the previous two albums had been the result of improvisational jams and songs made up as they were recorded, this album shows a more deliberate approach to the songwriting.

Besides this release, we will also re-release Amateur Hour’s two previous LP’s ”Amateur Hour” and ”Framtiden tillhör inte oss”.
All these three titles are pressed in a limited run of 500 copies each, with release date set to August 26. They will most likely sell out pretty fast, as all their previous releases. Don’t sleep on these ones!

First of all we want to say how grateful and happy we are that so many of you bought the record. We are quite frankly owerwhelmed by the response it have gotten!
We decided to make 250 copies of the initial pressing because ”who would really buy this record anyway?”
Well... Just roughly two weeks later it is completely sold out, and people reach out to us and want more! So we will do a small second pressing of it, and then it’s gone!

The lovely Monorail Music in Scotland will get an exclusive pink vinyl version limited to 100 copies. Although, by the time I’m writing this that one has sold out as well...

We will also do 100 copies on black vinyl. That one you can still order from us on our bandcamp page, but I wouldn’t sleep on it since there are just 19 copes of that one left.

Anyways, it warms our hearts to see that there are so many out there that care and loves these songs as much as we do.

Hey everyone! We hope that you are all healthy and safe!

We have a new release to share with you, one that hopefully will bring some joy into these hopeless times we're experiencing.

Appetite02: Various Artists - Nice Try, Sunshine!

"Nice Try, Sunshine!" is a compilation of 14 Swedish underground pop hits that should have conquered the heart of every pop fan around the globe, but somehow has fallen into obscurity.

This record is an attempt to capture a feeling ABOUT the music, more than to capture a certain sound or a common esthetic amongst the bands. The only thing that motivates any of these bands participation on this record is that we FEEL it is right. It makes perfect sense in our heads.
That being said, they do have some things in common. They're all swedish, they were mainly active during the 2000's and early in the following decade (with some obvious exceptions), and they are all some of the best music to ever come out of this country.

From the very first tones of Days' lovely "Downhill" (a song that should be the very blueprint for any indie pop song written since), this record takes us to that place that only really beautiful pop music can, whether it is the heart crushing nostalgia of Ring Snuten, the pure indie bliss of Free Loan Investments or Jens Lekman backed by his childhood self.

This is our way of showing respects to these little gems of pure pop beauty
