5 years ago, I struggled with happiness because my entire life I believed a false narrative: I didn’t deserve anything good because I’m not good at anything.
I found video during a time where depression & su***de consumed my life. I was bed ridden, but every new video I made gave me life. It was that secret tool that fixed a big void in life.
People started to encourage me as they entered into my life. As they applauded this new found skill, I began to believe in myself and think, “what if I’m good at this & I just need to keep trying?”.
I kept going & eventually I moved to Portland for a documentary.
I learned to depend on myself as I called Portland my new home. Little did I know, the people I’d meet would play into this new life. Every job, every gym, every coffee allowed me to be closer to the man with tenacity, grit & a gentle spirit.
This is a collection of photos during the past 5 years. I’m quite shocked from how different I look 🤷🏽♂️ the smile is bigger.
