Joshua Tiner graduated with his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University, and in the 30 years since, he’s collected a vast wealth of experience in delivering projects from concept to completion. Josh is the vice president of engineering at REDCOM, an award winning full-service commercial architectural design, engineering and commercial contracting company operating in the New Jersey and surrounding areas. Josh also contributes to our industry as a published author of continuing education courses. I’m so excited to interview him on today’s episode of Engineering Success to learn more about Josh’s journey from EIT pursuing his P.E. to VP leading engineering delivery!

I was scrolling through the r/EngineeringStudents subreddit and I saw a student lamenting that they just didn’t see the value in college career fairs…

After a few questions, it quickly became clear that they weren’t getting value from the career fairs because they were not approaching them in the right way.

There is a right way to convert career fairs into interviews and it just takes a little bit of intentionality.

If you know a college student, send them this post so they can prep for their next career fair!

SHAMEFUL.

The military academies have suspended their SWE, SHPE, and NSBE clubs.

All of these organizations are international and none are exclusive organizations to any class of people. They result in one thing for our country: better engineers. To disband their student chapters is idiotic.
