This EP was born as a deep immersion in the darkest and most hypnotic soundscapes, evoking the sensations you feel when surrounded by the living darkness of a nocturnal forest. Each track is a sonic journey that winds through minimal textures, deep pulsations and rarefied atmospheres, designed to envelop the listener in an introspective and primordial trance.

The inspiration comes directly from contact with the wildest and most mysterious nature — where every crackle between the branches, every lunar reflection on the leaves, becomes sound. The rhythmic structures, reduced to the essential, blend with distorted environmental elements, in a balance between tension and silence. The shadow is not just a visual element, but a sonic dimension in which to consciously lose oneself.

An electronic ode to the invisible, to the whispers hidden among the trees, to the beats that imitate the heart of the night.

Darkduction - Detour ( MA40015 )

“Detour” with its cold, experimental and rough approach evokes a dark and intense atmosphere.

“Detour”: The title track opens the project with a marked, mechanical and repetitive rhythm, reminiscent of an alternative route full of uncertainty. The sound is cold, with harsh, metallic synthesizers, while the percussion is heavy and steady, creating a sense of forced deviation and impending tension.

“Containment”: The second track amps up the intensity with industrial elements and echoes that suggest isolation and control. The sound is dense, claustrophobic, with layers of distortion evolving throughout the song. The bass rumbles, mimicking the pulsations of a closed environment, while the sound effects create the illusion of a restricted, dead-end space. And “Trail of Heroism”: Closing the EP, this track adds a more epic but still somber touch. The beat is still stiff, but here there is a progression that suggests a struggle or breakthrough. Cool synths blend with more dynamic sounds, creating a sense of constant movement despite the obstacles.

The sound is reminiscent of a heroic march through inhospitable terrain, though the rough, experimental tone remains steady. “Detour” is a work characterized by its audacity and minimalist aesthetics, where each track tells a part of a complicated journey loaded with deep emotions, both physical and psychological.

Einox, who has been presenting various genres of work with its characteristic sound design, makes a recursive attempt to techno through EP [Natural Inversion].
Einox included IDM and D&B within his work category, and now creates his own field by appropriating the features of each genre in this EP [Natural Inversion].
Each track has a clear sound-layers that create its own groove, even in the overlap of several rhythms.
In particular, there are two four-on-the-floor rhythm tracks “Sensor Reflexivity” and “Brushed Particles” which are faithful to the basic wording of dance music. And these emphasize the characteristics of the sound design pursued by Einox.

그동안 특징적인 사운드 디자인으로 다양한 장르의 작업을 발표해 온 Einox는 EP [Neural Inversion]를 통해 테크노로의 재귀적 시도를 꾀한다. IDM과 D&B까지를 자신의 작업적 범주 내에 포함시켰던 Einox는 본 EP [Neural Inversion]에서 각 장르의 특장점을 전유하여 자신만의 자장을 만들어 낸다. 각 트랙은 여러 리듬의 중첩에도 명료한 소리-레이어들은 고유한 그루브를 생성한다 특히 포-온-더-플로어(four-on-the-floor)리듬의 두 트랙 ‘Sensor Reflexivity’와 ‘Brushed Particles’와 댄스 음악의 기본적 어법에 충실하며, Einox가 추구하는 사운드 디자인의 특징을 강조한다.

Yomi is a Taiwanese Korean techno DJ based in Seoul. She Having loved rock since she was a child, debuted as a DJ in 2017 through various genres of experience and is expanding her career through several Venues.

She expresses the sense of space well through deep and melodical&fun sounds.
She grew up in a variety of cultures and thought she was weird and had ’contradiction‘ to herself with a variety of values. She plays raw and industrial tune, but sometimes she likes to mix it with emotional and beautiful music. As if her identity is ambiguous.
She hopes people to feel various senses and emotions through the conflicting music she plays to find inner energy and light.

SOSEOL’s EP “pov” is a calculated expression that thoroughly analyzes and solves inspirational elements obtained from large human-made buildings, engineering designs and symmetries.

The cover, photographer Ha Jun-ho’s work, which expressed “virtual architectural space”, visually expressed the theme of the album. The hard bass and percussion instruments felt on the track are stably divided and positioned like piers, and they amplify the listener’s self-emotions by creating a tense harmony with three-dimensional main synths.

And all of LP’s production processes, including vinyl mastering, were conducted at the domestic studio “Motherbird”, and together with professional engineer “Ed Kim”. They created a listening element that shows a great gap between analog and digital.

The official music video, which released with the title song “Invert”, is an edited video of the short film “POV” produced by “Kim Min-joon”, a film director and writer. “POV” was awarded the Achievement Award at the “Southern Shorts Awards Film Festival” in USA and was nominated at the “Seoul Short Film Festival” in Korea, “The Golden Short Film Festival” in Italy, and the “Paris 2020 Laurels Film Festival” in France.

Soseol works as a DJ and made his debut as a producer with his first album released in 2012. He is an electronic musician who established a record label “Mankinart” to form the domestic electronic music market and continue his external steps to participate in art-based projects such as movies and exhibitions, giving electronic music various paths and expertise.

Cy Nico explores music with a balanced blend of sound and space, delving into minimal elements shared across genres like rock, techno, house, and psychedelic music. As a member of Seoul-based techno crew LFO and Korea’s electronic music label OverCurrent, Cy Nico released the ‘XX’ EP in December 2023.

소리와 여백이 균형잡힌 음악들을 수집하며 록, 테크노, 하우스, 싸이키델릭 음악 등의 미니멀한 요소의 공통점을 찾아 탐구하고 있다. 서울을 중심으로 오랫동안 활동한 테크노 크루 LFO와 한국의 전자음악 레코드 레이블 OverCurrent의 멤버로 2023년 12월 ‘XX’ Ep를 발매 하였다.
