KAJO KEJI LEADERS DISCUSS HOME ISSUES WITH GOVENOR JADALLAH
The Kajo-Keji Community have met with the Governor of Central Equatoria State (CES) Hon. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani to discuss cross-cutting issues affecting the county.
The Commissioner of Kajo Keji County Hon. Phanuel Dumo Jame presented an exclusive report on major issues facing the county, including logging, insecurity threats, civil servant unpaid wages, inadequate health and education support, and road inaccessibility.
While on the other hand, Governor Jadalla pledged to work with the community to address the challenges and emphasized on the unity among the people of Kajo keji as he plans to conduct a tour across the state to familiarize himself with the issues.
The visit included MPs, youth, women, religious leaders, and chiefs who also applauded Hon. Jadalla on his new assignment and assure the community's readiness to work with his government.

H.E Emmanuel Adil Anthony,the governor of Central Equatoria State, has donated a befitting brand new vehicle to the Bishop of Liwolo Diocese,Rt. Rev. Joseph Aba and as well as pledged 20 million south Sudanese pounds towards the renovation of Liwolo Senior Secondary school.
He announced his pledge during the Easter Sunday mass held in St. Paul Cathedral,Sokare-Liwolo.
He further asserted that his administration will continue working together with the Anglican communion and other denominations in fulfilling the desired services for humanity as one of the ingredients to fast-track return of refugees in the various camping sites in Uganda's districts.
Speaking shortly after receiving the motor vehicle keys on behalf of the Central Equatoria Internal Province, H.G Dr.Paul Benjamin Yugusuk said" thanks be to the lord for the gift to the province as this will greatly facilitate the Diocesan pastoral engagements like confirmation and others.May God bless you Governor Emmanuel Adil for your heart of generosity to the beloved people of God".
In a similar news development,the Diocese inaugurated newly built building named as “People’s Guest House” aimed at accommodating any visitors to the area.

Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, together with his entourage yesterday, joined Christians in an Easter Sunday mass in St. Paul Cathedral, Sokare-Liwolo, under the Central Equatoria Internal Province, Anglican communion.
Addressing the faithful during this momentous Easter mass,governor Emmanuel hailed the provincial leadership under the stewardship of Archbishop Benjamin for effecting a swift return of the Episcopal Diocese of Liwolo from Uganda to it's original headquarters in which he described it as a return of total peace and tranquility in the area and calls for more concerted efforts together with the faith based organisations to restore trust and confidence in a bit to expedite return of the refugees in the various camping sites so as they can participate in the forthcoming 2024 general elections.
The Governor also urged the faithful to continue engaging the holdout groups in the bushes who are still carrying up arms against the Government to denounce violence and join the wagon of peace as the only remedial solution to salvage the suffering of the innocent civilians,noting that the transitional Government under President Kiir is committed to the full implementation of the revitalised peace deal both in letter and spirit.
On the cattle issue, the Governor reiterated his administration's commitment through the reinforcement of the security forces for an immediate return to their respective places of origin so as to allow the locals embark on agriculture ahead of the rainy season.
On his part, Archbishop Paul Benjamin Yugusuk warned the clergy from participating in any political activities and upholds to neutrality through propagating messages for peace, reconciliation and development throughout their pastoral engagements in their respective Dioceses.stating that any clergy found indulging him or herself into any political affiliation shall be dealt accordingly.
The Bishop of Liwolo Diocese, Rt. Rev. Joseph Aba reaffirmed the church readiness to continue consolidating the government's resolve on return of the refugees to their places of origin so as they can start rebuilding their lives.
The event was marked under the theme "I will bring you back into your own land"(Ezekiel 36:24).

Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony and his accompanying delegation have arrived in Kajo-Keji town ahead of the mega SPLM rally and as well as the Easter celebrations.
Upon arrival at Kajo-Keji airstrip, the governor was warmly received by the County Commissioner,Hon. Phanuel Dumo and other government officials, including the staunch members of the ruling SPLM party and immediately proceeded to the county headquarters, where he was briefed by the local authorities on the general security situation as relatively peaceful.

On Thursday Community empowerment for progress organization ( CEPO) and it's partner Australia center for peace (ACp) visit women farmers groups in five payams of kajo-keji county (kangapo 1 kangapo 2 and nyepo) received T-shirt and bicycles to transport their food items to market and to easy movement in the group, two payams yet to receive lire and liwolo.

The farmers appreciate the donation and visit, this project aims to "strengthen conflict and gender sensitive community Resilience in Protracted Crisis in central equatorial and Northern Uganda".

Community Peace Monitors two days training in Kajo-keji

March 6, 2024 (Kajo-keji) - Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) had organized two days training on Conflict Resolution and Community Mediation in kajo-keji county of Central Equatorial State (CES).

Austrian center for peace (ACP) trains community peace monitors of five payams (Lira, Nyepo, Kangapo1, kangapo2 and liwolo and each) skill on community conflict mediation dialogue negation, as to “Strengthening conflict and gender sensitive community resilience”. Under the Theme “PEACE IS OUR COLLECTIVE RESPONBILITY”

Last day of training the Community Peace Monitors received important Items from CEPO as to easy there work in the community and be able to coordinate (Certificate bicycle, phone T-shirt and jacket) they appreciate Cepo and its partner ACP as it’s the first time in kajo-keji

peace monitors from each boma take the training as golden because its communities selection and take knowledge peace building and implementation back to community after training should advocate for peace said phanuel dumo commissioner of kajo-keji.

Evans Amos director of peace building appreciates the two days training and welcome ACP to kajo-keji, the project helps community special bring the refugees back from Uganda peace monitors are element in community talks about peace, the project has impact in the county.
he also appealed to partner Community empowerment for progress organization (CEPO) and Austrian Center of Peace (ACP) and donors to double more effort of funding so the work with peace monitors church leader’s musician and create environment for returnees within communities.

Kajo-Keji two-day peace dialogue concluded Saturday with locals grieving past gruesome incidents.

Central Equatoria Deputy Governor Sarah Nene, accompanied by state Minister of Peace-Building, Francis Gerald and Deputy Minister of Local Government facilitated the dialogue.

This came after two security officers were killed in separate incident in a span of two weeks.
