The asada chimichanga put me in a good place. The chips and salsa had a tasty amount of heat. Tasty enough to justify me eating it all.

It’s been years since I’ve had Rocky Rococo Pizza and Pasta. Fortunately, I still really enjoy their pizza. The Motherlode has Smoked Mozzarella baked into the crust, topped with Rocky's Hand-Pattied Italian Sausage and a blend of 5-Wisconsin Cheeses. Yo!!!

We thought we were coming in to get bagels for breakfast. One look at the menu, and we knew we needed to go deeper.

The Corned Beef/Pastrami Hash (I asked for both meats)and scrambled eggs is
house-made, chunky style with potato, onion & green peppers. I also had a toasted egg bagel with chive cream cheese 🤤. The wife went with the matzo ball soup.

We made another stop at the counter to get a few things to take home. We went home happy. 😃

A “Friday Eve” meal that was absolutely perfect. Impeccable service and food that has you going, “Mmmm mmm” with every bite.

The wife and I had more fun on a Monday night than we’re used to. The charcuterie class at The Board Room Libertyville was enjoyable and the board made my tummy say, “Howdy!”

Grabbed some food at Anam Cara Cafe this past weekend. The fresh mozzarella and prosciutto panini with tomato, arugula, and a truffle crema on focaccia made my Saturday.

They are known for their ribs. I can see why. The pork sandwich is good too. Adding this to my “Places I Need To Visit When In Nashville” list. Tummy says, “Howdy!”

Nashville Hot Chicken at its finest. The pimento Mac n cheese was stellar and some of the best fried pickles I’ve ever had.

Jeff- Weeknights on 1023XLC

I grew up with a radio always within an earshot. As a kid I spent countless hours with a tape recorder trying to imitate all of the jocks that I heard on-air.

I attended Columbia College Chicago and earned a bachelor’s degree in sound engineering. Upon graduating from Columbia, my first job was as a freelance engineer with NPR. I worked in radio briefly before pursuing other work and starting a family.

My passion for radio brought me back to broadcasting and I’ve been at part of 1023XLC since August 2015.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Hillary and our four children. I love all types of music, documentaries, professional wrestling, trying new cuisine and visiting farmers markets. I’m a huge fan of the University of Michigan football program.
