Osinachi Nwachukwu, a gospel singer and mother died on the 8th April. It was initially reported that she died from throat cancer after a few days in life support but later reports allege that her husband severely beat her and kicked her in the chest which led to her demise. The police have Mr Nwachukwu in custody though no charges have been filed.

Citizens of the country need to be protected. There should be parameters in place to help those who suffer from domestic violence and abuse. We must band together and say no to violence, in whatever form it presents.
