17 days since he was abducted, and 6 days since the military said he is under their custody, Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Ssekabira Deusdedit remains under incommunicado detention! He is not being held in any gazetted place of detention. He has not been produced in any court. Neither his family nor the leadership of the Church has been allowed access to him. Pause and think about this happening in 2025 to an ordained priest. What a country we live in! In 25 days, we can put an end to this nightmare.

On this day in 2022, comrade Waiswa was wedded to his beautiful wife Edith. On such a day, they should be celebrating their wedding anniversary together, but comrade Waiswa remains detained at Luzira Prison on trumped-up charges because the criminal regime fears his bold voice. As we wish them a happy anniversary, may we continue to do everything possible to bring to an end the nightmare of a criminal regime that is causing so much pain to our people.
